Name: Clem
Townie/ New?: New, and seemingly unhappy about it... Or is that just his face?
When did you arrive?: Fresh From Elevator 913 (Dumpster Portal) into Timeline starting January 1st, 2025
Age: Looks Mid-Late 30's
Race/Variant/Type: Ex-God turned Tired Office Worker
Occupation: Claims Adjuster / Field Auditor of Unstructured Phenomena
RP Focus/Interests: Observe and Report (Full-On NPC Energy)
Notes: If you don't want him in a scene, just send me a PM. It's within his character framework to not be in places he's not wanted and we can negate his entrance entirely. Sneaking peeks at his clipboard will likely create a silly prompt you can respond to. RPing with Clem After 5pm is impossible unless you offer coffee, but you're definitely buying and he will always leave you with the bill.
Background/ LHS Notes/ Special Details? Appearance? Markings? Stuff people would see?
Clem is a Claims Adjuster and Field Auditor of Unstructured Phenomena (FAUP) for Ecliptica Mutual, and he will appear uninvited in nearly any location and behave as though his presence is entirely normal and authorized. He shows up exclusively during his designated work hours of 9-5 and acts with a detached, methodical calm regardless of the situation's danger or absurdity.
He doesn't ask for permission to enter spaces and he doesn't explain his presence unless directly questioned. Even then, answers are vague at best. He observes, records, and rarely interferes. If you're expecting help, don't. He's not here to fix your problems, and he doesn't get paid enough for overtime.
Clem is always dressed in lax business attire, like a burnt out early 2000's detective, and carries with him several items during working hours, the most prominent being a clipboard with seemingly infinite pages which he writes on frequently, a pocket watch that always reads 2:58 (despite this, he'll always know the time by looking at it), a company issued black pen with a crescent shaped logo, an uneaten ham sandwich in his left pocket that always seems to be with him no matter the setting, and an ID badge that's visibly outdated and for some reason completely illegible.
He vanishes promptly at 5, often mid action or mid sentence, and will not return until his next shift. Outside of work hours, he seemingly either doesn't exist or simply can't be perceived. It's best not to overthink it. Clem will only be available for solo interactions if a character offers to buy him coffee, and depending on how bad the coffee is is how much he'll prefer spending time with your character.
(This character is still in development and currently doesn't have a legitimate character arc, because I'm a lunatic.)
