• Encounters

  Ikarus has found a sheet of paper, and taken to writing names down of those he's met- probably to help him keep track, since he's never been acquainted with so many people before! The script is neat, and all the names are carefully printed, while the following descriptions are a bit more flourished.
  
  Ereesei Gih-Mees: The dragoness. She caught me sitting outside in the rain, and took me into the tavern for some food. She kept calling me a turkey- but I still think she has a good heart. Who else would invite a stranger in out of the rain? Update: She seems very complicated, and I worry that I might really be the only one who likes her! All the more reasons to be friends. Update: I haven't seen her in quite some time, and part of me worries she has left the island.
  
  Vensyn: The dragoness threw soup on him, and started a whole mess. Later I learned he was the captain of the guards! He's a bit gruff, and can have a strange sense of humor, but I think that deep down- he's a lot softer than he looks. Update: I feel safe around the guard. He may have some tactics that are a little strange, but he still let me come along on the potato raid! I think I quite like him.
  
  Amberline Bequin: She was there that first night too, and is also a guard. After everything had settled down, she was quite enjoyable. In asking what there was to do on the island, she suggested that the town needed a baker, so I thought to volunteer for that. She's not like most women I've met, but she seems to get along well with Vensyn.
  
  Illandi Bondsmiller: I first met him and his fiance, Haku, in the dark. Which was probably not the best place. We were attacked by the Mashed Potato men shortly after, and the whole thing ended up in chaos. However later, when I got to know the man, I found that he was a rather mild mannered person who was really quite easy to get along with. I like him.
  
  Haku Loa: He's huge, first of all. He and Mr. Bondsmiller were out by the lake, and I can only assume they were hunting. Either way, the man pointed a spear at me, and I was fairly sure I was going to die. He did protect Mr. Bondsmiller and I from the Mashed Potato men, though. Finally, after some time, I got in a good conversation with the man. He turns out to be so much nicer when things aren't in the middle of chaos, and he is unarmed. I'm pretty sure I like him too. Update: He's quite knowledgeable, and after some more time, I've decided that while I never want to be in his way- that I do like him.
  
  Tathar Maksa: First, I thought she was just a baker. Then I learned she was the Lady of the island. Then I vowed never to get in her way. Then I did. Then she turned out to be the sweetest person I think I might ever have met. She has so kindly taken me under her tutelage, and is teaching me how to bake. She makes me feel good about things, and I have to say I like her very much.
  
  Hannah Green: I haven't really met her very well. She is apparently the owner of the magic shop in town, and she called me a 'stud'. I... I don't know quite what to think of that. Update: After having her baby, I can't help but think that she fascinates me- just as all parents seem to do, but while her initial flirting threw me off, I think she's really just a good person, and I'm happy to know she's on the island.
  
  Fenris Wolfshock: He is also huge. But he did not put a spear in my face when I first met him. And he was sitting down. Eating breakfast. While I'm not very sure what he does, he seems to be a perfectly nice gentleman. Update: He is apparently a carpenter, and made shields for us for the raid on the potato people! He couldn't come, but I wouldn't hold something like that against someone!
  
  Spellcarver: Lord Spellcarver the Darkhand. That pretty much sums it up. 'Lord' 'Spellcarver' 'Darkhand'. He seems pleasant enough, but... one is never too sure about those nobles, after all. Update: After seeing the town come to his aid, and after watching a conversation of his, I feel that he is... he is not a personality I'm used to. I find him interesting.
  
  At this point the paper must be turned over- such is the number of people!
  
  Halona Hunter: One of the aforementioned children of the island. She found some snake woman in the courtyard, and started a ruckus. Later she gave me a cookie, and I let her touch one of my wings. Children are weird. Update: I was allowed a... play session with the child. They are still a bit strange, but I do like Halona, and find myself more comfortable around her.
  
  Narsuun Taceo: He was there when I came from the forest after a semi-successful attack on the potato village. Kindly he helped me get out the remaining darts, and cured my sneezing. Albeit a bit awkwardly. It wasn't until later that someone referred to him as a 'lord', and while I am fairly sure he is a kind being, I haven't had any other run-ins with him when I wasn't looking like a cactus.
  
  Kahtei: Red-headed healer woman of rather short stature. We shared conversation over a meal at the tavern, and she seems just as most healers are- kind. I haven't had much more interaction with her, but she seems pleasant.
  
  Ålov: She arrived one day, heavy accent and very confused. Took up working at the inn, and helping with Davian's chores. It was hard to get used to, but now understanding her words is much easier, and I enjoy her company. Update: I'm not sure what it is, but being around Ålov makes me feel good. She calms me, and I like helping her. I might very well be happy to spend... a lot of time with her. She's strong, and maybe a little harsh, but her heart must be made of gold. Update: Fate has been unkind. Taking her from this life, and from me. It seems I was not meant to know this kind of eternity.
  
  Melanthe: Another kind woman. She is apparently in a relationship with Vensyn. I don't know her very well, but the conversations that we've had have always been pleasant. I look forward to getting to know her a little better. Update: In seeing Vensyn a lot with no signs of Mel around, I worry that the woman has gone. It's... hard. I liked her.
  
  David Shai: He came to the island- socially awkward, and stuttering. Didn't know if he could fit in, and took the job at the inn when it was offered, because it sounded good. Whatever we didn't have in common before then, we have in common now. He is pale, and not always in control of his emotions or his shadows, but I wouldn't trade him for anything. Even if my old family was something of a piece of work, I find David to be... a real brother. I do adore him so. Update: I still consider him a friend, but with so many forward advances, I fear I may have trusted too much...

  Vivien Moore: Arriving on the island mute, I didn't know her much beyond passing conversations. She was Haku's assistant for a while. Agreeing with the Lord to get her voice back, she stayed up in the manor, and I got to spend more time with her. She's a very humble, but adept young woman. I think I lament only that she prefers to work in town, and I can't have her hands helping in the kitchen with me!
  
  Lacuna Eureka: Feline woman of a curious kind! Meeting her when she was new to the island, she seemed a little out of place and reserved. Thankfully, with being able to open an alchemy shop, she has opened up a lot, in my opinion. She creates the most wonderful of things, and is pleasant to talk to.
  
  Ithaqua: A seemingly feral woman. With terrifying genitals. I traded her a cheese biscuit for a crystal. Illiandi traded her a bag for feathers- and to cover up. It was... an interesting day.
