    Othelia's family lives near the southern border of Malcolm County. Her blood family includes her father, Rostam; her younger twin brother, Bernat; her late mother, Meranna; and her father's living wife, a Frrench otter most creatively named Marie. Never a well furre, Meranna di not fully recover from the trials of childbirth and died when her kits were young.

    The Kelmothand family extends to her illegitimate cousin Gildong, who also resided in Kingsrill during her tenure there. She suspected her uncle to have sent him to keep an eye on her, but did not use this suspicion as an excuse to neglect her social obligations to him.

    Othelia's family by marriage is the great house of Haala. She is the widow of K'Ganix Ti'Haala, a venerated & vicious veteran, the second child and only son of Count Bloodclaw's third wife. Also notable among their family are Othelia's three mothers-in-law, each with her own opinion, and her daughter, a golden-furred otter pup she named Saffron. Her household also includes her bard, Halia, and her betrothed, Rexington Ti'Baldsmud, along with his son, Maximus Constantine.

    The femme makes no secret of her disdain for infidelity and cuckoldry. Even so, she humors flirtation from most sources, typically for her own amusement or benefit.
