• Description

  Short-cropped black hair, playful attitude, and he'll hit on just about any woman he sees. He's gotten thrown out of more bars than he will admit, and his absolute weakness is Tabasco Sauce. He loves to have fun, but the gods have pity on anyone who dares to mess with his friends or family (with the exception of his three brothers and his father).
  
  He has the ability to teleport, but only in rare instances of absolute need. He doesn't always use it, and it doesn't always work. Fortunately he's never teleported into a tree. It might explain the complexity of his traps though.
  
  He loves booby traps and will lay them or snares or (if he has real time on his hands) pitfalls when he can. Often times just for amusement--he doesn't actually plan to hurt anyone.
  
  He carries a sword with a blue-jewel encrusted hilt; is proficient with throwing daggers; but can't hit the broadside of a barn with a bow.

• Biography

  Growing up with three magically gifted brothers was hell for Arien--who showed no magical ability what-so-ever until he turned 20. At the age of 12, he and his mother had left to start their new life in another village and at the age of 16, Arien met his soon-to-be best friend, Nathan.
  
  Very competitive, Arien likes to tests his skill with the sword against anyone who's willing. Sometimes he goes to great lengths to make them "willing"--often to his own demise.
  
  He flirts with women and likes his beer--he doesn't take a whole lot seriously because he knows that love is fleeting and bonds don't last forever. (Family issues.)
  
  On his own, he travels from town to town, competing in swordsmanship to become the best swordsman ever. ((OOC: And wow, I feel like he just became a grown up version of Ash Ketchum.))

  POWER WEAKNESSES
  
  --Teleportation is limited to only places Arien has been before and can picture. Likewise, the distance travelled in teleportation is limited to how far Arien can walk normally in a day. If he teleports too far away, he'll be laid up with muscle sprains/injuries and/or death could occur.
  
  --Telekinesis works only on objects that Ralen himself can lift or hold. He's strong, but not strong enough to, say, stop a falling tree from landing on someone. He might, at most, be able to shove the tree, or the person, out of the way. But it's rooted in Ralen's physical strength. If he moves something too big/heavy, he'll have muscle sprains/injuries, or broken bones; at best nothing will happen.
  
  --Aquamancy requires a significant source of water nearby or in the surroundings. Put Zane in a desert, he'll die from dehydration and his powers will weaken. What water isn't used from the environment, is coming from Zane himself.
  
  --Pyromancy can be determined two ways: first via a pre-existing flame; second by internal body temperature--though the latter takes a few minutes to produce and requires a fuel source. A pre-existing flame is much easier to use and control. Darien often carries flint and steel with him for such a scenario. Although he can also coax ashes back into a fire.
  
  --Chronomancy (in Daren's case) is limited to the immediate present or past; a kind of "re-do" power. The drawback to this is that he can only use it twice in a row before the situation becomes altered and distorted and he forgets what he's supposed to "re-do". Placing such power in talismans, however, has no ill-effect on him, so he opts for this which is steadily making him rich.
  
  --Foresight (in Clarrisa's case) is limited to only those she touches or knows deeply. She foresaw Arien's disownment and opted to go with him; but if she is out of touch with anyone for too long (say, a week) then her vision or foresight grows hazy. When it works though, it works really well.
