I've been recovering from a recent surgery, and I have to stay on a liquid diet for a couple of days. Then I can eat a few small, light meals before going back to my usual diet. I don't have many go-to recipes when I'm ill, so I stick to canned broths and boullion cubes.

What about you guys? What do you eat while recovering from illness or surgery?

Do you go with canned soups and broths like me? Maybe jazz them up so they're not too dull? Do you go the extra mile and make them from scratch? And what recipes do you like using as light meals to help you get going again? (Bonus points if they're keto-friendly!)

Hope to hear some good ideas and recipes!

I usually eat chicken soup, or a broth of some sort, made from scratch. I also like rice, and light teas. Applesauce is good sometimes when I'm ill, and so is pickle juice, and Saltines are also a go-to.
Anyway, pretty much just easy-to digest carbs, proteins, and liquids. :) Nothing too spicy, but I do like a little cinnamon flavor.
I hope you recover well!
1 box chicken stock (not low sodium or low fat)
1 can coconut milk (the full fat stuff)
1 can bamboo shoots
Chicken (rotisserie, breasts, tenderloins, or canned works)
Curry powder to taste
Lemon pepper or lemon juice to taste (light touch maybe?)

Toss it all in a pot, stir well, bring to a simmer and let heat. Voila, keto curry chicken soup!
