Hi all! I’ve developed a character and an arc for her which has potential to be a minor and somewhat-involved event for the community. (Yes, I did name it after the Muse song.) It’d be a long arc with lulls of time when I can just develop her character while we roleplay in a less structured way; and occasionally we could use one of my plot points to push her development along.
I have a long desc. for her but here are the basics! Her name is Moll. She’s from an idealized, pastoral sort of world where the dominant population is completely communal and peaceful, as well as somewhat telepathic (which helps them communicate and prevents them from keeping secrets or being deceitful).
When Moll arrives in Tuphon by an unexplained accident (as her civilization doesn’t have technology and couldn’t get into space on purpose) she is, of course, DOA. Dr Domo puts her into an android body and she basically freaks out -- more so than usual. She’s thrown into a state of panic by the sudden lack of telepathic connection to those around her, and since she’s the only one of her kind she’s also terrified by her inability to understand anyone else’s body language or, indeed, spoken language. Unfortunately the Tronslatr won’t help much, as she’s experiencing something akin to suddenly losing a basic sense (like sight or balance!) that would normally help her navigate the world. At this point we'll assume that she has no prospects of developing telepathy in her android body, so no one will have to worry about her violating your characters' minds
SO, plot point 1: Befriending Moll & helping her adjust
(This one is super low-key.)
With the help of some kind strangers who calm her down (i.e. your characters, if you want to participate!) they decide she should join an explorer faction. After all, she is an android now. So long as she’s in the company of others she is able to manage the feeling of panic inside her that never quite goes away. This means she’s a bit needy, but she does push herself to forget that feeling by genuinely delighting in the company of those around her. She turns out to be an okay explorer: agile and brave (partly due to her naivety), she also helps keep morale high with her energy and care for others. On a good day, her former joyfulness shines through in spite of her constant struggle to hold herself together.
Plot point 2: Apprenticeship
Having spent a while marveling at all the new tech she’s encountered since arrival, Moll decides she wants to learn join the tech faction. She seeks a master to study under. Keep in mind that she needs either a master who would give her a lot of attention, or a position where she could socialize a lot with others when not working. After all, she’s pretty much the most extremely extroverted being possible
If no one wants her as an apprentice then she can just learn to tinker on her own
Anyway, the twist!! Moll has been toying with secrecy, lying, and deceit. She’s getting good at it. She’s also starting to realize that the key to achieving her greatest desire (unlimited intimacy with others) might lie in understanding her android machinery…
So, time will pass while she learns. Then…
Plot point 3: Moll basically goes full mad-scientist
and eventually finds a way to absorb other androids’ consciousness (? is that the proper term?) into her own. She starts by doing this with her closest friends and only for short periods of time. It’s a bit like sex. But just how far will she take her experiment?...
Plot point 4: The conclusion.
There are multiple ways this can progress and end. I think I should keep those possibilities in mind and then discuss them with whoever is interested when the time comes
After all, this could take a while before we reach point 3, and open-endedness will make it more flexible.
That's my idea! I'm looking forward to your feedback and suggestions and naturally I'll be happy to change things if it means more people will be interested in playing it

I'm a huge fan of telepaths in general, and the plots you list out seem fun!!! I'd be happy to participate now and then, I can't do long term stuff but some members here would be happy to I'm sure
