Name: Linda Matheson
Department: Animal Science, Toxicology
Classes: Animal Science, Environmental Toxicology
Brief blurb: Mrs. Matheson is of the prominent Manning family and once native Bostonian. She earned her degrees through Smith College, tackling dual majors of Animal Science and Environmental Toxicology. Before coming to N.V.U, she worked as the Head of Laboratory Animal Science for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. NPC Faculty wrote:
Name: Elliott Alexander Monroe, PhD
Department: Biology
Classes: Anatomy and Physiology, Biology 1
Brief blurb: Dr. Monroe spent his early years in a suburb of Houston, TX as the child of a middle-class family. Initially beginning his post-graduate career at the medical school in his home town, he completed his doctorate only to decide that medicine wasn't truly for him after all. Much to his family's chagrin, Elliot instead chose to pursue teaching and settled in for the "easy" life of a scholar. After the death of his first wife in the early 90's, he moved to New Versailles for a new start and has become a well-known fixture on campus both for his warm demeanor and the extra hours he constantly spends in his office hunched over paperwork, his door always open to students and faculty alike.
NPC Faculty wrote:
Name: Daisy Rouquette
Department: Music
Classes: Varied Jazz Studies - Saxophone, Jazz Improvisation, Digital Music Production
Brief blurb: Mrs. Roquette is a native to New Versailles, soon to be celebrating her Fortieth year here with N.V.U. While not having a wall filled with her academic achievements, she has more than enough experience and is a known and respected musician and composer. She also has certain way with her students earning a 90% graduating rate with 75% gaining full time employment in the fields surrounding her courses. Mrs. Roquette is a prominent member of our own Historical Society, and can often be seen contributing her musical prowess from time to time at the Museum of Natural History for local exhibits and fundraising.
NPC Faculty wrote:
Name: Alexander P. Keating

Brief blurb: Professor Keating origins are a hop, skip and a jump across the Atlantic. A native Londoner, he grew up in Chester Terrace, Camden. He was enrolled at Colchester Royal Grammar School before moving on in his later years to the Royal Naval College, majoring in Immunology. He excelled with perfect marks to later further and finish his education at the Imperial College of London where he focus on Infectious. He has the Maxwell Finland Award for Scientific Achievement and the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Humanitarian Award.
Lilyth wrote:

Brief blurb: A transplant from England, Professor Tinker has spent much of her life accompanying her brother on various archaeological digs around the world. She has earned a PhD in history from a prestigious institution in Europe, and her experience in archaeology has made her a welcome addition to NVU's faculty.

Professor Tinker is actively involved in the community, and runs a small antique shop in the Historic District on top of doing volunteer work at the Downtown Museum.

Raphah wrote:

He has published several papers in journals. He has spent most of his life in academia and has applied for a faculty position at NVU in order to branch and network.
Victoria McCloud wrote:
Name: Victoria McCloud
Department: Humanities
Classes: Folklore and Religion(4)
Brief blurb: Miss McCloud is known for her tactics to get her students to think and question a lot of things. However what is also known about her is that has a few Degrees in Folklore, Religion, and Archeology. Vic also is known from coming from a family with "old money" and runs a company of sorts. But the woman decided to start teaching recently after finishing her last degree for it. According to her she wanted to "Help the people learn and actually not be afraid to know what they might have missed."
Doc Scalpel wrote:
Name: Eric Fortunas, (More immediately responds to 'Doc')
Department: General Sciences/Medical Sciences
Classes: Biomedical Sciences; Applied and Theoretical (3), General Sciences I&II (4)
Brief blurb:
Formerly seen on the campus of NVU as a questionable substitute (perhaps replicating the Great Fire of London with a scale model indoors was a poor decision), it seems someone's been bitten by the teaching bug. No published works are found under his name despite the many degrees and a doctorate or two under his belt, but perhaps he simply likes his privacy or uses a nom de plume....or his employment could be accredited to those he drinks with.
Silas wrote:
Name: Gideon R. Silas
Department: Humanities - Philosophy
Classes: Introduction to Philosophy (3 credit hours); Ethics (4); Biomedical Ethics (3); Seminar in Ethics (2); Seminar in Political Philosophy (2).
Brief blurb: G. R. (Gideon Robert) Silas is an American philosopher, essayist, and full professor in the Philosophy Department at NVU. His early research interests revolved around war and political philosophy, likely because he served in the military during his youth and grew up in the zeitgeist of the Cold War. His major contributions to the field focus on bioethics, free will, and moral philosophy.
Devine wrote:
Name: Savanth Devine
Department: Architecture
Classes: Design I & II (6), Structural Concepts (3), History of Architecture (3), Environmental Systems (3)
Brief Blurb: Cool and calculating, his teaching methods are far more straight-laced and conventional than he himself may be. Though his motives for teaching at NVU may be unclear - youth is wasted on the young - his efficiency and enthusiasm for his field are (arguably) unrivaled. His history is hazy at best, but his doctoral degree from Cornell likely spoke for itself.
Takurasho wrote:
Name: Takurasho Dralt
Department: College of Humanities and Social Sciences - Psychology
Classes: Clinical Psychology I (3) II (3) and III (4).
Brief blurb: Mister Dralt was born and raised in Oxfordshire. He graduated from private school at the age of sixteen and proceeded to spend the next four years earning a Bachelor's degree in psychology. This was followed by three years towards his master's degree and five years for a doctoral degree, one of which included internship. Dralt then continued to work at East Haven Mental Hospital for four years before becoming a cognitive therapist for two years.
At least, that's what his paper trail claims.
Maverick wrote:
Name: Liam Lee Maverick
Department: Forensics and Criminal Justice
Classes:
Criminal Procedure and Evidence (CCJS 234; 3 Credit Hours. This is an entry-level course.)
A study of the general principles and theories of criminal procedure and evidence, including due process, arrest, search and seizure, and the evaluation of evidence and proof.
Medical and Legal Investigations of Death (CCJS 420; 3 Credit Hours. This is an advanced course.)
An intensive look at medical and legal investigations into causes of death.
Crime Scene Investigation (CCJS 342; 3 Credit Hours. This is an advanced course.)
An examination of the investigation of crime scenes. Topics include the crime scene, crime scene documentation, evidence, and post-crime scene activities.

Brief blurb Liam Maverick hails from across the sea, specifically Yorkshire, and he has the accent to prove it, muted as it may be in its present form.
He has had both life experience and has earned a Masters in Forensic Sciences and Criminal Justice. He interned with the police department in North Yorkshire while attending University in the same part of the city, and his skills quickly became recognized in quite the unorthodox manner.
His passion for Investigative Forensics is best reflected in his equally unusual teaching methods, which include dramatic recreations of scenes and the constant strive to help put his students in the minds of the criminals and deviants rather than simply looking at physical evidence.
His work frequently brings him into other classes, often as a guest speaker or substitute, when Psychology, Sociology and Science departments turn their lectures towards the more macabre topics of murder, criminal psychology and deviant behavior.
He also currently moonlights with the local and regional police department and CSI, helping as another mind and pair of eyes to piece together and solve some of the more ghastly and difficult crimes.
Llewellyn wrote:
Name: Llewellyn Grimm.
Department: Physical Education.
Role: Kinesiology, nutrition, exercise science and of course physical education. It involves two separate classes that last an hour, three times a week.
Brief blurb: Well known for his participation in MMA (and less commonly, in the underground fighting ring), Llewellyn sports several years, if not more, of the practice of physical education. His classes offer an official gateway through to professional athleticism, as well as reduced student and staff prices to the New Versailles gym to keep up after classes.
Johnathan Pollitz wrote:
Name: Johnathan Pollitz
Department: Dance
Classes: Introduction to Dance (3 credits); Ballet Technique - Multiple levels, rotating (3-6 credits); Modern Dance (3 credits); Ballroom - Rotating focus (1 credit); Advanced Ballroom - Rotating focus (3 credits); Advanced Individual Technique (1-6 credits); Introduction to Choreography (3 credits); Advanced Dance Composition (3 credits)

Johnathan Pollitz has performed with a number of dance companies in the United States, studied competitive and social ballroom in Europe, and toured as a member of an intimately-sized corps de ballet before taking a break from dance performance to pursue acting and choreography.

While technique is an essential foundation for any dancer, John believes that the most important elements of dance are found in the individual's understanding and connection to their bodies, their stories, and the music itself. In addition to performing, Johnathan has taught ballet, ballroom, and dance composition through studios and nontraditional programs and is always open to incorporating new genres and styles. His latest work embraces pop, hip hop, and blended styles of dance in collaboration with multimedia producers and aspiring dancers in Bridgeport, CT.

Johnathan is new to New Versailles but looks forward to witnessing the many talents of its community.

Name: Cayne Tinker
Department: Office of the President
Role: President of the University
Brief blurb: Cayne Tinker has been one of the leading archaeologists worldwide for over three decades. A well-known name among academics, Dr. Tinker has given presentations all across the world, and offered classes in prestigious institutions in between active fieldwork. Dr. Tinker has effectively retired from fieldwork, but is still known to travel the globe and consult with authors and producers when needed. In fact, one colleague has been quoted as saying that "Somehow, Tinker always knows when you're talking about him," when asked to comment.

He is a very new, and very welcome, addition to the NVU family, and seeks to increase the University's popularity and funding with an aggressive publicity campaign.

Seth Corvus is a new addition to the Faculty of NVU, a lanky not-so-tall even-spoken European that can easily be mistaken as a student. It is rumoured that the Finnish born lad has several degrees under his belt and has a perpetual fondess for Ravens, just don't say 'Nevermore' around him.
