I make no secret that I’m anti-fascist in my political beliefs, and I don’t wish to count chickens before they hatch, but should Biden/Harris win and the Democrats win the Senate and increase their numbers in the House, I really hope they don’t cater to the Republicans at all.

No, Not one bit of that “bipartisanship’ that compromised the Affordable Care Act in 2009. The USA needs a good dose of FDR (Franklin D Roosevelt) socialism again, and if the Democrats come out with their typical open-arms ‘let’s bring the country back together again’ embrace of the tea-party-trumpian far right, I Will Not Be Happy.

They will need to push ahead full steam with progressive legislation and sign it into law and leave it up to those who oppose it to take it through the courts. Maybe some will be struck down by a 6-3 conservative majority Supreme Court and maybe some wont. It’s what Roosevelt faced in the 1930’s and the National Recovery Act was struck down in its entirety with parts of the Social Security Act struck down. The Democrats need to go full steam ahead, though I fear the corporate lobbying interests will be too much for the Democrats to work against. Joe Biden is no Franklin Roosevelt, but I think Harris could help move things in the right direction.

As much as I am optimistic, you can’t count Teflon Don out until possibly November 4th.

No thoughts I see.

I’ll call it.
  • There are 70,000,000 American voters who are ok with the trumpian status quo and support all that he says.
  • There is no evidence of any voter fraud.
  • Biden is extending leads in most contested states.

Congratulations president-elect Joe Biden!
Most of the major news networks have now called it as well! :D

The senate still hangs in the balance, though, with two run offs - that will determine if Biden is able to accomplish much of anything. Still work to be done.
