Today, the Republican Party killed any sense of truth within their ranks. As much as I have come to despise the whole ‘trickle-down’ economic BS that was instigated by Ronald Reagan in the late 70’s and put into practice when he was elected President in 1981, the Republican Party, by their ouster of Liz Cheney from her leadership position on a voice-vote, have embraced The Big Lie, and have killed the ability to express truth within their ranks. If you are a Republican and have thoughts different from Donald Trump, then you are basically branded as a traitor to the party. Sound familiar?

The Republican Party of Ronald Reagan has pretty much completed its metamorphosis into the the Republican Party of Donald Trump with this move, along with the moves by Republicans in various states to restrict the ability to vote, and continuing to perpetuate the BS that the 2020 election was “stolen”. Add to it the general attitude of the Republicans in their ‘revising’ of what took place in Washington DC on January 6 2021, and anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that the road they have chosen is a very dangerous path.

I would like to hold out some hope that the ‘common sense’ wing of the Republican Party will somehow prevail, or in a breakaway from the trumpshirts and rebuild a Republican party that still holds to some objective truths. Sadly, with around 75 million voters in the is very slim.
