Helligdom Island is the new land that the settlers fled to after it was discovered by Prince Buutar. Only the half-basin in which the trolls live has been explored and even then, much of that area remains unexplored. Beyond the mountains is still a mystery, but far better to explore once there are more dragon riders. It's a large island, but how long can they remain hidden from the evil king here?

    Kongensvik ('The Kings Betrayal')

Kongensvik is the new town formed by the settlers. It is built into the thick of the trees. Waterfalls cascade from dark-grey, stone ledges into streams around the town, making it a rather beautiful town with a consistent source of water through it. Many of the large trees of the forest have been chopped down sparsely from all around and used to make wooden cabins or to support the slightly nicer, thick-stone buildings, along with hardy furniture.

Troll buildings usually have high roofs and wide doors, but luckily the trees in the forest are far taller and hide them all the same. They have many functional trade buildings now and in just a year the town has grown to fantastic sizes due to trollish resourcefulness. There is a butchery, smiths, a tailors and many others, as well as a local guard division. The settlers worked hard to get together a new society, even creating new coin to use in trade, smelted from the iron and silver mines surrounding Klekkeri.

    Ryttere-hjemme ('Riders Home')

The dragon riders have a tall castle-like building carved into the very body of a huge stony peak that juts out of the forest and too is covered in camouflaging trees and plants. It is hollowed out but supported with stone pillars carved out of the natural stone. This is where the young leader, Ganuu'bit lives and operates from. It is yet very empty and its large halls and maze-like corridors are empty.

The entire tower is built large enough for dragons to traverse easily through it and on each floor there are several platforms and entrances for dragons to land on. The lower floors are a grand entrance with four pillars either side of a shiny black floor, dark grey walls are draped now with green and yellow banners sporting the silhouetted head of their leaders dragon.

The higher floors are filled with rooms, not all of which are decorated but prepared for the arrival of riders who would live in them. The very top of the tower is a large, singular floor with a central fire-pit and many vents to act as chimneys. It is both a common area for riders and a meeting room.

    Klekkeri ('The Hatchery')

Klekkeri (otherwise known as 'the hatchery') is carved into the base of the extinct volcano and hidden by vines and thick forest to keep the eggs safe from unwanted attention. The cavern opens up through a corridor into the main volcano, but the hatchery itself is fully walled and safe from the elements. The walls of the circular chamber where the dragons may lay their eggs in warm sand pits are all carved with stone murals. There is one of the prince, depicting him leading the settlers to the new land, and of the old betrayed king and his dragon (as depicted in the site banner).

    Kongmouth

The mouth where the river meets the sea. Kongmouth is littered with beautiful bays and crystal clear waters full of large edible fish, giant crabs the size of dogs and often visited by large, tusky turtles.

    The Rovtann Mountains

The Rovtann Mountains ('The Carnassial Mountains") surround Kongensvik and much of the land and provide welcome shelter. The mountains open up only at the lake, rivers and sea, giving the area a natural wall. Among the mountains is a large, extinct volcano.

    The Kjøttjakt Plains

The plains are a wide expanse of open grass plains between two smaller patches of forest. These plains are home to many great prey beasts, large and less-large (honestly, the animals are pretty big). It's visited by many hopeful predators and has become a key hunting ground for the trolls of Kongensvik, though this meant they needed to build a bridge across the river.

    Sanddyner

The dune grasslands are a series of grassland that devolves into sandy, sparse land covered in large, tough, tussocky dune-grass. It's home to many insects, including giant dragonflies.

    The Nyverden Sea

The sea to the North-West that the trolls arrived on. Filled with many large fish or marine mammals.

    The Forests

The forests on the island are home to gigantic trees (think about the size of the great redwoods) of varying height, along with many prehistoric-like plants, ferns and wild heather. A common sight in the forest are large grey stones placed at random, often square-like in shape with water cascading down them. It'd be safe to believe that these once came from volcanic eruption, or simply rocks rolling down when the mountains formed millions of years ago.

    Uncharted Territory

The new settlement has few riders and this means it has been too dangerous to head out and chart the areas beyond the mountains. A project for the future, no doubt.
