Rules

  • Standard Rules

    1. Respect your admins and founder. Their word is final. If you have concerns regarding staff conduct, either speak to the staff member or contact me (Degu).
    2. Characters must have an application accepted before they start RPing here.
    3. Please read the Troll Anatomy page if you are uncertain when creating your character. It is important that you read the short history or extended history of the setting. After all, it is how your character arrived here.
    4. If you wish to play a plot character you must speak to me first, message me or ask me and the admins in the questions section.
    5. Ask questions whenever you’re uncertain about something, rather than risk warping the setting with false information.
    6. Please try to keep up with roleplays as best you can. Players have a right to skip you if you have been longer than a week to reply without a note of absence.
    7. Keep OOC in brackets, if you wish to tack notes onto your posts.
    8. Feel free to post into multiple threads at once, just be wary of overlapping timelines and settings.
    9. Explicit language is fine, just be wary of using it offensively.
    10. ICA = ICC (in character actions = in character consequences) anything your character does will have a consequence.
    11. Be respectful to fellow role-players.
    12. No age-play or sexual assault whatsoever.
    13. Explicit RP is fine but only in private, do not do ERP on the forums. However gore is acceptable (though, post a warning in the starter post if there’s gore in your roleplay if you can, please)

    Bonding/Setting Rules

    1. Try to avoid modern lingo and slang.
    2. All characters must be trolls and must fit the anatomy information provided.
    3. Prime bonding age for trolls is usually between 10 and 30 (usually around in the middle of that) but there is no limit to bonding age, except for children under 7 years old. Dragons consider younger children not yet clear in nature of their hearts. Not enough to bond with them, anyway.
    4. Your character must be present at a hatching to bond. You can have multiple characters at a hatching but
    5. I (Degu) am the artist and GM. I create the colour, sex and appearance of the dragons that hatch at bonding sessions and then they will be distributed by me via a dice roll. I do not name your dragons. Dragon names are either a trollish (Norwegian) word(s) that describes them OR a descriptive title such as Gut-wrencher, Blue-Hide. Dragon horns will always grow to match the style of the troll’s own horns for the most part.
    6. If you want your character to have a pet out of our fauna section (under construction continuously) please ask me first.
    7. You must consider the learning process for your character as a newly bonded troll. Training must take place over months and no one will be perfect at riding right away. Dragons and their bonded do not always get on perfectly either, it takes a long time to perfect the bond, though they will always have common ground. Arguments between dragons and bonded are not unheard of.
