I lived in Japan for a good few years, but in the years after I left I've forgotten so much 😭

Huuuuge mood ʕ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ I used to be around N3 level a couple of years ago, but it has deteriorated so much since I don't use it actively much anymore. I really enjoyed studying though, it's like a puzzle.

Gotta focus on Dutch now for practical reasons, though. But maybe I'll find the time to squeeze some kanji in edgewise. Sigh.

Whereabouts did you live though?

I was the same. I never took any testing because I would've had to travel to a bigger city and it would've been an expensive exercise. But doing online sample quizzes led me to believe I would've passed the N3.

I lived in a rural city in the Kyoto prefecture :)

This is what I use daily (I find it useful enough for me! 🤣)

배고파 죽겠다!
How to read the hangul: Baegopa juggetda.
Indonesian: Laper banget mau mati!
Translation: I’m so hungry I could die.

Ah yes! A very handy phrase!
Just went through and subscribed to a couple more of the personal threads that I want to make sure to keep an eye on. Excited for everyone's updates as they come ♪(^∇^*)
Lol. I'll have my nose in everyone's threads when I lose steam. This group has inspired me so much already. 😆
Whoa tomorrow is November already! XD

So, I have question for everyone. How do you keep up with consistency? I think that is the biggest major (the biggest enemy?) in writing. I, myself, always getting excited at earlier phrase. But after some time the hype will burn and suddenly anything that I do will be neglected.

Previously, I have this habit of doing monthly journal. I bought those cute and aesthetic stickers and learnt the aesthetic letterings. I pumped for about 3 months. But then, I grew tired of it and suddenly I feel like doing nonsense things that I'm not capable to finish and then I feel like I'm a nonsense myself.

Okay, quit yapping 😂 so do any of you guys have some trick or tips on keeping up the consistency? I salute anyone that have the tendencies to push themselves doing the same exact things all over the time.

This is so relatable. I won’t profess to be an expert for I am guilty of intense hyper-focus then burnout and eventual neglect.

I think breaks are important.
I also try to immerse myself by consuming my inspirations for the project, making use of mood music, pinterest boards, and even having little note/ day dream/ plot sessions.
I consider myself to be very consistent when it comes to comic creation. One thing which has really factored into being consistent has been finding a community and enjoying spending time in VC with them. We mostly just talk about whatever and parallel play (draw our own comics). But I often sit at work excited to get home and spend some time with my friends :D

Hopefully this group will work in a similar way during the event :D

Oh! I love that! Like body-doubling for work-from-home!
Yea, in a writing server and we do daily sprints where we all kinda wrote together and that has been the absolute best for my consistency! Not even VC. We just set a start and end and report the word count for accountability
Honestly this is the only reason I get any drawing done any more so I can totes see it working for writing too.
You're a full day ahead of me! I still have to endure a work day and Halloween. Tomorrow I will start.
Will be at work at the start but I can't wait to see everyone's updates tomorrow!
Phew I just finished my chores, time to start writing :D My goal today is to rewrite the section I wrote about 4-5 months ago. I got to a point where the chapter was shorter than I'd hoped but I couldn't think of a way to pad it out. If I still can't figure it out I might just have to put in a placeholder and come back later.
Uuuhhhhh I can't find my old document

I might be starting over
Thank goodness I found it. I had decided to use a writing program I don't usually use XD
Just after 1 PM EST. I considered starting earlier, but had too much fun writing RP replies.
Glad you found it, claine, I might've cried.

And I also started about 1pm today hahah. No.. rp replies though.

My goal is 1667/day, and I met that for the day at least! I'll try to write a lot on Monday and keep up with it.
Before I start throwing material out there, I need some clarification.

My character starts his coming to darkness journey before the age of eighteen, making him a minor. There are sexual references to things he engaged in under the age of eighteen. No, these accounts are not written out in detail, only mentioned. But I would rather not be banned from this sight for putting information like that out there.

So, again, before I start posting any information regarding my character's "early years" I would like to know: Will I be banned from RPR if I reference underage sex in this story?
Underaraged characters in sexual situations are not permitted on the RP Repository. This includes private spaces such as groups. Please don't mention them even vaguely.
Phew! I can't believe I finished the first chapter in writing just in two days! I think this is the first time I ever wrote that much. I originally wanted to write in Bahasa but second thought, I think I also challenged myself with writing in English in order to increase my vocabulary. Grammar is still things that need improvement on mine. If anyone reading my story, could you please tell me if my grammar was okay? Or if there any section where I should improve?
