Juniper

Juniper seems to be a tall faun of some sort, at first glance, and easily mistaken for male due to her short, ruffled hairstyle and the impressive antlers that sprout from her skull. A closer look shows that these features are not quite what they first appear as, though.

Her tan skin blends smoothly into brown and white fur at her hips and just below her belly button. That fur goes on to cover delicate deer-like legs that taper into cloven black hooves, and a short and expressive tail with fluffy white fur on the bottom juts out at her rear. Her hands also show hoof-like traits; while retaining five fingers and dexterity, each digit ends in a hard keratin tip that is just too large and dense to be a mere fingernail. These hoof tips barely leave enough padding on the bottom for her to use her instrument of choice- a flute.

Long cervine ears hang at the sides of her head, rather than human ones, and she is able to articulate them to focus on particular noises or use them expressively. Likewise, her eyes are doe-like in nature, being a bit large and with irises wide enough to hide the sclera. They are vividly green, with oval-shaped pupils, and a very subtle glow of magic that's most noticeable in only the darkest of places.

Finally, perhaps the most unusual and striking of her features, are her antlers, closest in shape to a red deer's. Despite being female, she grows them year-round. They are not made of bone, but instead of hawthorn wood. These branch-like antlers sprout leaves, blooms, and even berries, and the intensity of this foliage depends on the season and Juniper's personal health. She often encourages foreign plants such as moss and ivy to temporarily decorate them, too.

Her sense of fashion is simplistic and practical, though she is not fond of too many layers. Typically, she wears cropped leggings with a buttoned hole at the back for her tail, and a wool and leather halter-strapped top that only just covers her chest.
