  • Description

    Standing well over seven feet tall, with dark, shimmering blue-gray feathers and striking reddish purple eyes, Saä-sahĭ may be an intimidating sight at first...until she opens her beak. She is full of zest for life, and is far more likely to try and befriend someone or sell them something than to hurt them. That said, she is capable of defending herself if set upon, and carries a small blade specifically for that purpose.

    Saä-sahĭ is on the upper end of a healthy weight for her height, mainly due to the weight she gains in the various cities she trades in, sampling the local cuisine and otherwise enjoying herself when she isn't doing business. Still, she's in good shape from all the traveling she does, and has the muscles to show for it. Her face shape resembles that of an Earth raven, with a smooth round head, large spherical eyes, and a long, heavy beak. Her hands are rather broad, and she keeps her talons sharp and neat. Her wings, when fully extended, are each about as long as she is tall, and as such she keeps them folded most of the time to avoid hitting people with them. She has a thick neck and broad shoulders, as well as strong legs, to accommodate the weight and size of those particular appendages. Her tail feathers are arranged in a wedge shape, also like an Earth raven, and reach down to her shins. For the comfort of the non-Ãoni around her, she does wear clothing, typically loose-fitting and made of a smooth material so as to not catch on her feathers.

    As mentioned earlier, she knows how to defend herself. In her youth her strong body had her pegged for guard duty early on, and she trained in the use of blades for a full Tam'nýer—a''n month (around 3 and a half Earth years) along with her other studies. However, she eventually realized her heart wasn't in it, and although she still practices to this day for self-defense purposes, the young Ãoni begged her mother and teachers to help her learn the merchant's trade instead. Though she did not tell them this, she had realized that she longed to see the rest of the world, and in so doing, bring that beauty and knowledge to Ŧ'ţ'ra-'kii. It took some persuading, but ultimately she convinced them to change the course of her education and was happier for it.
