Hiro Kazu

Greetings, young warrior. My name is Hiro Kazu. It seems you have stumbled upon a scroll of mine. I wish for you to return it by dawn tomorrow. If not, I shall have your head and it will be struck down by my own blade. Haha (kms), I have just done on what you Westerners call a "joke." I suppose that is the proper way to do it, is it not? Back to the topic at hand. Because you have found this scroll, you must be curious to know what lies within. Normally, I would warn that a powerful curse will come upon you if you open it, but since I'm not there, feel free to be cursed at your own risk.

Also, the "profile picture," as you Westerners call it, is simply a placeholder. I do not look anything like it, I just need something in place for it. Otherwise, this scroll would be tossed out like a dog in the streets.

On orders of the Emperor, I, Hiro Kazu, have been tasked in delivering this scroll to its rightful place.

A young man with the complexion of a foreigner trying to blend with the Japanese culture.

A skin of peach had woven itself around this warrior. He has a rectangular shaped face with a slightly prominent chin and a strong jaw. His blue eyes were relatively wide, as if becoming gateways to another dimension. However, its corners are sharp, giving off a look of determination wherever he walked.

His eyebrows always hooked downwards, despite them being thin. They pointed directly at the center of his broad, sharp nose. As it goes down, it comes across a thin mouth that lengthens to the side up until it is directly beneath the tip of his eyes.

His hair comes is not of a natural ponytail like a samurai, but rather that of a wild wolf. In the front, it seems as if they protrude downwards, like spikes pointing at his nose. However, his sideburns branch outward, sending spears aimed out to the grass below. Even the hair on the top of his head flow upwards. Just in front of his ears are more spikes that extend downward until just barely touching the skin below. Its color burns like the flames in the fireplace and the leaves in autumn.

His body has been disgraced of being a true samurai. He wasn't big and muscular like the many samurais that roam under their shoguns. Rather, he was medium-built with muscles that didn't reveal too much bumps on his arms. It was similar to that of a "wolf rather than a tiger." On his right cheek was a scar in the shape of an X.

And now, onto his clothing. He wears a black haori and a gray hakama, which causes him to look like a casual outsider. However, beneath his haori is a black Kikko Gane Dō with silver trims. There are scratches everywhere, most likely due to various encounters with assassins from all over.

A quick hint, my appearance does not judge my behavior. Rather, it is the opposite of my honorable appearance.

Strapped to his back was a daito (longer katana) and to his left side, a wakizashi (shorter katana) that had the same koshirae, or fittings. If he took them both out, they would show a daisho. They were forged and given by Masamune himself in return of doing him a favor.

Their tsukas, or handles, were made of wood, then wrapped with a red silk tsuka-ito. Their kashiras were made in the shape of the head of a golden wolf. Moving upwards, their tsubas was made in the form of a black circle. Golden claw marks decorated them all around, as if slowly reducing the black to mere splotches. Their blades are silver and shine even in the darkest of caves, due to regular polishing.

Other than being skilled with his swords, he is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He rarely uses them in combat though, as he only utilizes them at home.

Hiro is the eldest son in a family of six. His three sisters always looked up to him, not just because he's the eldest, but because he was the always paid attention to them. Their father was always at work, guarding the shogun at Edo, while their mother was always too busy tending the household. Whenever he had time, he talked and played with them from morning until afternoon.

When he became a samurai, he was taught by his father to "master the sword" and "embrace the code." In just 2 years, he had become the finest samurai in Japan. Soon, he was approached by the shogun to become his assassin. Day after day, the number of bodies that he had killed piled up, causing him to lose his sense of humanity bit by bit. Everyone called him the "Black Wolf" because of his trademark signature on his victims: four clean claw marks on the chest by a katana. One day, the shogun tasked him in assassinating his final victim. Once he had done so, the moment of realization had hit him: the victim was his father.

He killed the traitorous shogun, but still, it came at a price. He was branded a ronin and a bounty was given for his head.
