"Oh, I'm sorry, I was not aware." Aeon said, looking down. Vapor pitched in shortly after, "Sorry to hear that... Aeon knows that pain. He's living alone after all." Vapor gave a sympathetic nod to Vera.

Aeon was quiet, changing the subject as fast as he could. "Well... How is school for you? I don't entirely know what its like to attend school, but it always seemed like a waste of time to me.
Her brows furrowed a bit, opening her mouth to correct them, but she would rather not talk about those two backstabbing people. She honestly wished they were dead.

But Vera was glad to be off the topic of parents, even though it was about something she also dreaded, anything was better than talking about them. "Uh, school... It's okay, I guess. You meet a lot of cool people, you learn things..." She shrugged, honestly not knowing how to explain school all that well.
"I suppose its what I expected," Aeon shrugged, "I guess having this shop to run kinda made me seem self-reliant and made me think I really didn't need to go." He let out a sigh. Seeming to have nothing left to talk about to Vera and Mortimus. Vapor let out a huff, also seeming to have nothing left to discuss. The two hoped that maybe they had a question or something to say.
During the silence, Vera reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone, checking the time. She frowned a bit. "....Kinda late." She stood up and looked at Vapor and Aeon. "We're gonna leave. You guys take care, alright?"

Mortimus got to his feet as well as Vera went over and picked up her backpack, slinging it over her shoulders.
Aeon nodded, jumping down from the loft he walked over to the door, opening it with a bow to let the duo out. "You two are always welcome back here anytime. Just drop by every so often to say hi if we don't see each other soon, okay?"

Vapor let out a small yip, akin to one that a fox would make, "Yes, stay safe and may we see each other again." He had stood, shaking his coat before giving a bow in farewell.
"We'll be sure to stop by," Vera said, smiling a bit. She headed towards the door, stopping short of exiting to say a quick thanks before heading outside.

Mortimu nodded. "I bid you farewell." He headed to the door and followed Vera outside.
