Eventually, Raven escaped their grasp and after biting them all, she ran into a hallway marked "South Hall".
(Alright you're golden)
Tanner laid in another room at the TMC. He was woken up abruptly by a hand on his forehead. He opened his eyes groggily.

"Mom....is that you?"

When he awoke, there was nobody there. No one to comfort him. He sighed, he knew he was alone. It stayed that way for a few minutes until he decided to rise from his clean hospital bed. After he sat himself up, he began to wonder why he even bothered to stay in this facility.

Oh yeah, I don't have a choice.

Tanner's eyes scanned as much of the room as he could, which estimated to approximately half of it. The dull white walls were more of an eyesore for him, but he did take a longer look at the open door that invited the cool air that brushed against his bare skin, reminding him that he still had his white hospital gown on. He pushed himself off of his bed at the sight of the white sheets that divided his portion of the room from his neighbor's. The sheets had blood splotches in some areas. Tanner's feet shriveled at the freezing floor. but his curiosity gave him enough strength to push through the pins and needles that started forming to investigate. He couldn't believe what he saw.

There were more blood stains on the ground, but the stains were still fresh by the looks of it.

"What the hell?"

From what he gathered so far, it seemed like someone was severely injured. Tanner's eyes locked on the blood trail that led out that open door. Immediately, Tanner's eyes locked with the small view of the hallway the outside gave. He couldn't hear or see anything. It was just...silent. Too silent. Out of all the time he remembered spending here, he knew that the hospital was never this quiet. Something bad happened.

Tanner then noticed that the person who he shared the room with was nowhere to be seen. From what he remembered, the girl, Raven, had been in Tent City for committing some crime. That was oddly all he could remember. As he began walking towards the girl's bed, his foot bumped against something, causing it to shift slightly. Looking down, he spotted an empty syringe.

What's this, he thought as he picked up the piece of evidence. There lied a single blood droplet on the tip of the syringe. Tanner deduced that there probably was a doctor here and that he or she came for the girl.

"This syringe....whatever was in it might've been the cause of what happened in here."

Tanner's detective work was halted when he heard a eerie sound coming from the hallway.

His palms grew damp as he slowly crept up to the door, carefully making sure that he didn't make too much noise. With the gentlest of motions, he quickly shut the door and continued looking through the vacant room.

Hmm? What's this?

He spotted a slip of paper that was hid discreetly under his blanket. He probably wouldn't have noticed it if it weren't for the noise in the hall. He picked up the paper, his cold feet barely being able to take any more of the frozen floor, and unfolded the letter. A mysterious object plopped onto the bed after Tanner opened the letter. Glancing down at it, it appeared to be a card. An ID card with the name Jay Burenstein on it. He figured that the letter would explain it, so he started reading.

My love,

I could only do so much to protect you from what it to come. I'm writing this letter in hopes that you'll be alive to read it and be prepared for the dangers you're going to be facing. You're probably curious and confused. I know you like that.

Tanner's body tensed when he read the last sentence. Firstly, because the person writing this letter was absolutely correct. Secondly, he felt a little uncomfortable knowing that somebody knew more about him than he did. Well, he didn't feel to uneasy. The entire hospital could recite some of his moments at this place while he still struggled to remember his name.

Tanner, he clarified. Tanner Goodman.

After reciting his name a few more times, he turned his attention back to the important letter. He knew that whoever wrote this must want him to be safe or else he'd probably be a part of the bloody mess behind him.

I want to help you, but you have to trust me and me alone. You have to find me, Tanner. But you can't do that in your hospital gown. Go to the changing room across the hall. Take the keycard with you. It'll give you access to the Supervisor's Office once you're done. You need to hurry love. You won't be safe in this room for long.

The letter stopped there abruptly, so Tanner had no choice but to refold it with the keycard placed back inside. He knew one thing for sure: he didn't feel completely safe knowing some stranger is looking out for him. Still, he felt as if he needed to do this. He wanted to have someone to trust and have faith in. Besides, he wanted to see this person for himself. If he really has someone in this world who cares about and loves him, then it became his solemn duty to find her.

Without any pockets, he had no choice but to hold on to the letter tightly as he carefully approached the door. He opened it and felt lucky that there wasn't anything to greet him on the other side. Although he couldn't help but hear the faint moans that echoed down the hall, he felt all the more safer now that he knew what to do. The changing rooms were a short walk, so he stepped into the hall to begin his journey.
