Cath smiled, "That's interesting, we're all the same really. Different colors, and males have beaks but that's about it." She put her hand in the water and watched it glow, "Oh wow..." Flexing her fingers she tilted her head at him when he mentioned he had an appointment, "You're welcome to come back here when you'd like. It is kind of nice to have company, and you seem to be enjoying the pool."
"Beaks? That doesn't sound fun. How do you kiss?" Garuji might be working as a more rough and tumble type, but that didn't mean he didn't like kissing. He was glad she invited him back to the pool, "I will." He looked her over, "Can you get out of the water?"
Cath nodded, "Beaks, and they aren't fun at all. Our males use them to hold us for forced matings." Her eyes fell, "We don't kiss, there is no...there's no kindness in our species in mating." She let out a breath and stared at the water, but then he made her smile. "I can, not for very long but I can traverse out of the water until I start to dry. Our tentacles are very strong."
"Beaks don't sound fun." As for the mating he wrinkled his nose, "That doesn't sound fun either." He looked her over again, "Maybe later I can come back and show you what real fun is like." He hadn't met anybody here yet that could keep up with him in the water. He headed for the front of the pool, "Well maybe you can come by my room sometime then." He got out and just absorbed the water clinging to his skin, "But I have clients until pretty late. I'm sure you do too."
Cath gave a firm shake of her head, "They aren't." She watched him when he wrinkled his nose, "A lot of the time we die in mating, those that survive are considered the unlucky ones." If that told him how terribly unfun it was. The comment however about him coming back and showing her what fun was made her flush slightly, "I would be interested to see what real fun is like."
Cath watched him as he exited the pool and absorbed the water, "I will try, and I do. I look forward to seeing you again." She smiled, something she rarely did in this place and her hair tentacles waved around happily, perhaps she had just started to make a friend!

Garuji looked confused, "How does your race procreate then?" He shook his head, "Nevermind...you can tell me later." He was about to be late, and he knew Tikon didn't like it when he was late to his appointments. He gave Chatha a wave and headed out, with every intention of coming back that night to sleep in her pool.
Cath would have explained that one but she nodded, "Later it is." She waved back and watched him leave before curling up under the water to rest while she could. She knew she'd have another client soon enough, but for now the listing in the water was exactly what she needed.
