Light, agile, bladed weapons which score critical hits more frequently and improve player evasion, but hit less often than other main weapon types do low damage. They all have the same stats as outlined below.

Introduced in 2015 and remain the default piercing weapon found most years.

All of the energy swords that came from Doubutt were blue. However, there were "energy crystals" available in the store. Using one on an energy sword would fully recharge the energy sword's uses, and change the color of the blade to match the type of energy crystal available. It also changed the text of the "crit" flavor text, usually to a Star Wars reference of a character that used that color light saber. Introduced in 2017 and have appeared multiple times since.

Introduced in 2019, and then upgraded in 2025 (though whips were not circulated that year) to fit the same energy crystals that the Energy Swords use, with the same effect and array of dazzling colours!

Introduced in 2021.

Additional 1d4 damage against ice enemies. May also help against the Frozen status.
