WandOfEternity

Hello, thanks for visiting my page!

I've been roleplaying for about 9 years now, and writing for more than ten. I write long paragraph style, and depending on where muse takes me, may give you 4 paragraphs or even upwards of 20.

That said, I'm a firm believer in description. I don't do one liners, because I don't feel like you can accurately describe something in a sentence. Why should I say 'he was angry' when I can mention the sweat beading on his forehead? Or the white knuckles trembling from suppressed rage? It's just so much more evocative.

Now obviously sometimes the muse doesn't want to cooperate, and one liners happen. If it's only here and now is completely understandable, but if it becomes a regular thing? Eh, not so much. I'm going to role play with you and give the best possible posts I can, so similar effort would be very much appreciated. Don't give me like, a paragraph worth of spelling errors and mismatched grammar, please? I'm not asking for the next great novel, but similar care in the craft is sought.

Another thing! I am an 18+ role player.I'm not the kind to censor myself. I will very much role play fully explicit scenes. This involves violence as well as sexual situations. A lot can happen in those scenes that can lead to tremendous character development, so I don't like to gloss over them.

That said, if there are certain things that you have issues with, perhaps lines you don't want to cross I'll fully understand that. This thing is supposed to be fun for both of us, after all.

Finally, I'm a pretty fast poster. If you give me a response and I have time, you'll get a response probably within an hour, and have been known to power post if my partner is the same.

Since I believe in showing what I can offer, here is a sample post.

.Depending on culture and race, a tavern can be many things. For some it may be a means of information, others a way to enjoy like-minded company and culture. Maybe a place of business, allowing people who work there a chance to make a decent living...

The excerpt floated through her head, clear as when she had read it the first time. It should have been helpful, but all Calliope could feel was irritation. It washed over her in waves, same as the unrelenting torrent of sound that buffeted her from all sides. The only thing she could see right now was the outside, but already it wasn't looking favorable. A sign that might once have proclaimed the name of the dwelling was hanging from twin chains, rusted and worn. Lettering could still barely be read from the plaque, but not enough -even to her many eyes- to make it out. Instead of showcasing the name of the place, it only hung there forlorn and wanting. A pendulum of desiccation and decay.

The Gorgon's golden eyes narrowed, dirt curling underneath her toes as she stared into the dank, dark doorway. Frissons of disgust swam across her like wriggling serpents as the smell from the place wafted out to smother her in a nauseating embrace. Her muscles tensed, serpentine friends hissing in agitation. It was taking all she could to not slip back away. Worse yet, the miasma of disgust was paltry, compared to what she knew lay inside. Even from out here she could hear the auditory onslaught that was waiting for her within. It was good fortune that she had chosen her clothing carefully, as even if she did look like a beggar, the hood kept her identity hidden, and reduced some of the noise. Her fingers curled into a fist, balling with determination.

Very carefully, she walked forward, ignoring the splintering wood creaking underneath her feet, or the bristling pinpricks as splinters tried to penetrate her soles. Calliope extended her hand carefully, wincing as a wave of disgust surged up at the knowledge that she would need to touch the dwelling door. Faded paint peeling, and what looked like rot slowly seeping through the wooden planks she could see it made from. Your mission is truly hopeless, if you can't even get through a door. One of her serpents whispered in her ear. Her mouth attempted to compress itself in a fine line, revealing her irritation. At this point however, she was victorious. Features remained slack and indifferent.

The mind however, was different. Your baiting is unhelpful! Why don't you give a useful idea for a change!? She ignored what sounded like strained laughter, from the depths of her hood. And you be silent as well, unless you can add to the situation. The hissing ceased, but Calliope could still feel the suppressed mental twinges of amusement. As always she yearned to reach up and strangle it, but decided against it. Ignoring the knowledge that she would look foolish attempting to - by all appearances- suffocate herself, it wouldn't do any good anyway. Instead, she concentrated, willing the annoyance away like smoke on the wind.

Another serpentine voice echoed in her ear. Perhaps it would simply be best to enter today? A good accomplishment for now, I think. Tomorrow we can actually get to work. The tension in her spine lessened, a bucket of water poured directly onto the fire that was her annoyance and irritation. Thank you. Now I can actually start moving.

Head held high, Calliope went through the door.

She instantly regretted it.

Sound assaulted her like miniature spears stabbed into her ears. Calliope's feet moved without thinking, the wall of auditory ambiance closing in around her thick as mud. Can't...stop..I.. She reached for her thoughts, but they refused to come. Mental clarity faded away like a footprint after a rain. It took all she could not to simply turn around and run out.

Running in though, was a different option.

Her feet moved like they had a mind of their own, taking her past the sea of painful sound and into one of the back rooms. A brief glance told her it was a bathroom, and another minute, would find her retching in one of the toilets.

It was an ignominious start, to be sure. but Calliope didn't leave. Instead, she leaned against the wall, caring little that it was probably as filthy as the outside of the tavern had been. No, her thoughts went inward, attempting to focus on something, to drone out the auditory assault so that she could think...

From the depths of her hood, a soft hissing met her ears. It was barely existent, a whisper even this close. Soon as she went back into the main tavern, it would be lost underneath all the noise.

It was however, enough. Calliope listened to the soothing tones provided to her, soft against her ears like a caress from a lover. I need to sit at a table. For a minute or so. Then I'm done. For today, at least. Very carefully she made her way back outside, wincing against the noise. Her teeth clenched, grinding together to keep her whimpers of pain from leaving where they belonged.

Calliope seated herself in a table at the very corner, staring out into the tavern without seeing, as she tried to get used to the noise. Despite her rushed walk into the tavern, surely no one would bother a drab looking, hooded woman.

If you got all the way down here, then I look forward to role playing with you in the future! Or if not, well, I'll just wish you a good day. :D

Rave Reviews

What a brief yet splendid trip it's been with you, my friend. I hope it only continues. "Wand" is an absolutely exceptional writer who shatters the expectations he writes for himself on his profile. His words paint vivid pictures, and I feel like I can breathe the very same air as our characters with how descriptive he is. He's thorough and consistent with his communications, I never find myself blind-sided or disappointed. So much kudos to this glorious role-player. - Dream
