There are cruelties in the world I
don't understand. But it makes me
curious. To watch people be nice, be
mean, it's fascinating. Alienating.
Animals, swords – it's easy to sense
a strike than to predict what people
do out of greed, fear, desperation.
My instincts scream to run, survive,
because to trust, is to betray myself.
I've learnt doing good deeds doesn't
mean I'll reap the benefits.
