    When you first meet him, Hiko seems to be sweet, angelic, and overall adorable and cute personality-wise despite being weak to flattery and obviously a little bit spoiled. He has a tendency to suck up to adults or authority figures sometimes out of admiration. He is quite generous. He's also quite concerned with his appearance and almost always avoids things like mud, dirt, and in general manual labor as well as spends a lot of time making sure he looks nice. He tends to be incredibly moody, and is deeply insecure about his looks, though he never mentions it.

    Most people who know him know that Hiko is also quite spoiled. He loves anything cute or pretty. He has a mischievous side, often liking to tease others, especially those he enjoys the company of although he's somewhat nice even to those he dislikes. Giving him a taste of his own medicine would prove to be quite amusing, though. He's very clingy and adept at cajoling and pouting his way into getting what he wants-- including people he wants. He doesn't have bad intentions, but doesn't really think beyond getting what he wants. He fears rejection, being forgotten, or being hated. He's actually a brilliant person intellectually and a complete closet psych nerd, but he doesn't think that's cute and doesn't mention it. Often, he has a hard time recognizing the feelings of others.

    Hiko was born to an incredibly wealthy family. He was praised for the smallest of accomplishments and waited on hand and foot, as his parents often felt bad for constantly being on business trips and wanted to try and make up for that. And why not, since they had the money for it? Because of the way he was spoiled-- and still is spoiled-- Hiko got used to it and grew to expect this in his everyday life as well. He doesn't understand why some people don't have what he does, despite being a generally nice person.

    He was also doted on by his older sister, Hime, as she felt that the way he was treated did not prepare him for the world and made him require protection. When they were younger, the two of them were inseparable. Hiko received unconditional love from his family.

    In early school, the only reason he was liked was for his social standing and his intelligence. However, he was made fun of for his incapability to do sports and for his looks. He wasn't conventionally attractive, nerdy-looking, and was made fun of for his weight. This drove him to get better at sports, and he was homeschooled for a couple of years before returning looking completely different; pretty. Rumors circulated that he got plastic surgery (which he did, but he completely denies it).

    He gradually climbed the social ladder with his angelic personality, and ended up being quite popular even though some still disliked him for his appearance and suspected lack of sincerity. He’s still really, really not ready to enter the real world though. Deep down, he knows he needs to emotionally prepare, but still has a lot of deep-seated insecurity.
