  Ain't ever had it easy. Made of it what I could though. Don't much remember my parents. Both of 'em were useless drug addled pieces of crap. Had me 'fore they were even eighteen, died 'fore they hit their twennies too.
  
  Ain't known nothing but the street for the most part, there's been on exception though. Now I ain't much for society,
  put its boot on my face from the get go and didn't let up 'til the world ended. As you're probably gettin', this world ain't done me no favours. Been shit on by about ever'one I ever knew in ways I ain't plannin' on going in to. But there was one girl... always is right?
  
  She was different. Didn't care much 'bout why I was where I was, or how I was like I was. She liked me for bein' me. I didn't much care why she was swimmin' in money and had it all either. Liked her for bein' her.
  
  There was definitely somethin' there, the moment we were old enough to understand attraction. Made a pass on her in a couple of my weaker times, dumb shit that I was rejected her attempts to move into my heart too. We hurt each other, but I'm reckonin' we both did it tryin' to keep the other from bein' hurt worse.
  
  We always pulled through though. Like a pair of idiots, we always grew close again. 'Til our worlds, and the world went up in smoke that is.
  See, we had what I reckon was the end of our story together. She'd found this man I guess. Can't blame her for it, shit, she definitely deserved better than I could ever give her. Didn't stop it cuttin' deep though. Our words wouldn't sound like our final goodbyes when we spoke that day, but we both knew we weren't about to find each other again after that. She was in love and was gonna marry this new man, ain't no way he'd have been nice 'bout her hangin' with the likes of me though. She got enough from her parents about our thing we had between us, couldn't expect her to ride out the ire of her future husband over it too, so when I walked, I weren't comin' back.
  
  But that same day, there was this solar flare took out all the global electric grid. Digital money was wiped out of existence, power plants shut down, nuclear stations all went up. Millions died and society all over fell. Think she was among those that died. Left a gorram big hole right in my chest that I ain't ever been able to fill since.
  
  Anyway... all of a sudden all those with their noses planted high'n the air ever they see me, found themselves on my level. No home, no money, and no one lookin' to help them. There was somethin' sweet about takin' from them what little they had left, made sure they understood exactly how it felt to have someone in a better position than them put their boot right on their face. Funny how so many reckon some pathetic 'pology was gonna make me change my mind.
  
  Didn't kill them though... I ain't a complete monster.
  
  That big ol' hole in my chest left the world a darker place. Used to be that I had her. Even the knowledge of her bein' alive woulda been somethin' but the state of the place she was last seen... ain't a person coulda survived it.
  
  Started tryin' to find a way to fill that hole. World had gone to chaos and it suited me jus' fine. People pushed, I pushed back. But there's always someone stronger right?
  
  See, there was this guy, went by the name of Gallows. He put together something like the Romans had with their gladiators. Ever see that TV show Spartacus? Well... it weren't completely different from that. Dude hosted area fights in some destroyed place or another.
  Anyway, seems my face'd been noticed by him and he reckoned I'd fit right on in. I killed five of his men 'fore they took me down.
  Woke up in some crappy cell. He told me that if I wanted better 'commodations I had to work for it. Work in this case meant killin' the person he threw in front of me under the watchful gaze of his friends and clients willin' to pay.
  
  Out of the years there's been since that solar flare, I was stuck with him for half the time. It took me two months 'fore I found myself in the penthouse cell among the elite of the gladiators. Thought that my life would be a little easier... fact is, reckon I made a mistake fightin' so hard to climb to there.
  
  See, there's interest in his prime fighters. Sexual interest. Those who could pay, got to have a night fucking the gladiator of their choosing. First man that paid for me was carried out of my cell with a snapped neck. Don't get me wrong, ain't no shame in likin' men, but I needed to control somethin', had to fight for something' myself after bein' out of control for so long. Decided at that moment, that the somethin' I was going to control was going to be whether or not someone was going to stick their meat in me.
  
  Twisted as it was, the added danger I posed made me more popular than ever. But see, Gallows couldn't have me killin' all his clients and friends so I got bound after that. Funny what your mind can help you to adjust too when you ain't got no choice. There were plenty of women too, so it weren't all bad.
  
  Might make you gag a bit, but this is the world now. Ain't barely a sense of decency left. If someone could get me into that position, anyone can get beaten into it. Just a sign of the new times. Ain't not point in gettin' all hurt or disgusted over it anymore.
  
  Anyway, that was half the time covered. The other half came under a girl named herself Vixen. She was a spitfire dressed in leather with a body that'd make anyone think they died and went to Hell. Not that sufferin' hell either. The sexy one everyone secretly wishes existed and they could live in.
  She bought me. 'Parrently been interested since she saw me fight couple of years prior. She was the leader of a raider gang and used them to get the money it'd take for her to buy me.
  Least my new owner was a whole lot prettier than that last one. Course she bought me for more than just an extra gun. She had deviant tastes and I satisfied 'em all. Guess that time with Gallows gave me plenty of experience riding through peoples perversions. Guess that got Vixen's rocks off, told me that's why she waited so long, wanted to make sure I was conditioned to her likin', gave me a strange mix of violent rage and acceptance she could use.
  
  The whole thing ain't left me as the same man I was 'fore that flare. Got a bloodlust and need to kill that's seen me through more'n one impossible situation. Found myself co-leader of this raider gang, but lately, the whole thing's left an ashy taste in my mouth. Ain't got much desire to take from others anymore. Guess I'm finally gettin' that conscience that people sometimes talk about. Problem is, Vixen's the closest I ever got to having that hole in my chest filled up, so I'm left here debatin' if I can even leave her. Don't give a shit about the others, but her... aint the first, nor the last time I've wondered if I could talk her outta this kind of life...
