  • Detailed Personality

    Closed-off and quiet, Emrys isn't much of a talker, especially when it comes to human people, and he can even be quite rude to them. When he does talk to strangers, he's generally soft-spoken and even when polite doesn't like to talk much about himself. A former student, he's quite intelligent and passionate about academia, something that surfaces when given the chance to talk about his studies-- which he wants to pick up again. Emrys is slow to trust and prone to tears, though he tries his best to hide emotional distress from others.

    Once he feels comfortable with someone, he loosens up considerably. While he still isn't much of an open book or big talker, he enjoys playing around and poking fun in jest. Given time to heal or when he really needs to, he can be quite determined and willing to stand up. When it comes to his loved ones, he's incredibly loyal and borders on clingy. He is kind to his patients, but fairly reclusive outside of his job.

  • Seer

    Commonly referred to as seer-witches, Emrys isn't comparable to a magic-user like a witch or sorcerer at all. Evolved from an ancient species of faerie, Seer magic can be honed but is innate rather than learned.

    He can see into the hearts and minds of human beings or beings with human consciousness (obviously ). The extent to which he can see varies from person to person, although surface feelings are things he'll almost always be able to pick up on. In fact, it may be hard for him to block them out if they're very strong. Generally speaking, though, he never uses his magic purposefully aside from medical practices.

    While Em does have this sort of second sight, his primary sight-- his eyesight-- is compromised, as is with most Satori. Because of this he has to wear enchanted spectacles made by and for Seers and is nearly blind without them. However, without them he is able to see colored auras of the emotions of others even if their figures are blurry. He has a spare pair but he has yet to find other Seer villages where he could buy them from.

    In some situations, he can completely immerse himself inside the mind of someone else. When he does this, his eyes will turn entirely silver rather than just the iris and he'll be nearly unresponsive to unextreme outside stimuli.
