    She's 5 foot nothing, but has the stance of someone as frightening as Unohana. Go figure. It's gotta be something to do with that glacial stare of hers, and the insistently neutral way she speaks. Maybe she's not the most friendly looking, but she certainly earns her respect, and needs only enter a room to receive it.

    Contrary to her otherwise serious expression, her hair is in a short bob, sporting a little natural wave in each lock. It's as blonde as fresh cream and about as soft and silky, and she runs a hand through it often when her mind wanders.

    Her uniform similarly contradicts her severe visage, sporting crimson stockings, an oversized crimson sash, and a high slit up her right leg. Sure, it's a little unorthodox and her neckline looks fairly similar to Lieutenant Rangiku's, but no one's about to question her for it. She didn't answer the last time she was asked, or not verbally, anyways.

    Back to the grave visuals, most of her upper arms and shoulders are covered in pale scars. Only those who have fought beside her know what they're from, and she's not inclined to show them off. Beneath those loose, open sleeves, she's usually got bandages over the skin, and that generally keeps the questions at bay.

  • Ability/Weapon Description

    Zanpakuto: Hyōga no Kohitsuji (Glacial Tiger Ram)

    Sealed: Resembles a simple tanto (10") with a crimson pommel and blue wrap.

    Shikai: "Lacerate." Takes the form of two open claw gauntlets, both sporting three individual claws, palm handle and backing, with no glove. Contact with any of the 6 blades will silence nerve endings, numbing pain while deteriorating the capacity for precise motor function.
    Upon contact with the Nokira's blood, the target becomes vulnerable to a freezing attack that hinders mobility in similar fashion, with a catch. Activation is at will -- ice crystals, about 5-10" in length, erupt from her blood spatter in both directions, often piercing a target's body or limbs. However, if her blood makes deep contact into a target's core, infiltrating their bloodstream, Nokira can force all major blood vessels to crystalize into jagged spires often several feet in length, jutting out from the target's body in random directions.

    Bankai: "Shukketsu Hyōga (Bleeding Glacier)" Nokira's arms become encrusted with blood ice, forming two massive gauntlets resembling the great paws of a tiger with all 5 claws.
    Large pools or streams of blood (hers or anyone else's so long as she can make direct contact with it) can be rapidly turned into 50+ foot towers of crimson ice, as offensive waves or defensive walls. Instead, she can resort to scoring up the backs of her arms, creating two rows of shards like that of her shikai on herself, and may create her bankai's towering spires on any surface from her touch in a direction of her choosing. Both options create massive structural damage as the surfaces beneath the spires are partially crystalized and expanded. The shards across her shoulders can be used as a weapon as well, as she can eject them at blinding speed from her body at will and generate more, but this comes at the cost of major blood loss over time.

    Other Notable Features:
    • While remarkably quick and dexterous in normal circumstances, Nokira excels in flash step. On par with some of the fastest in the Gotei 13, she lacks the ability to do so long distance, but can flash step over and over repeatedly. Such blinding, short-distance speed keeps her in the face of her opponent, relentlessly blocking off every escape route. Furthermore, she holds the strange capability to scale near sheer vertical surfaces (best if made of reishi) to her advantage, using them for height, bounceboards, and making distance.
    • Nokira sadly sucks at nearly all things kido, and sometimes cannot perform low-level kido at all.
    • Spiritual manifestation of one's zanpakuto is something every captain can do and most lieutenants can manage as well, being a key step in achieving Bankai. However, physical manifestation is something massively different, and it is one power Nokira achieved with frightening speed. Hyōga can be physically present in the room with her, and can be used as a mount if not in Bankai form. Few know of this ability, and those who do keep their distance. What those select few are completely unaware of is that he is usually present at any given time and can choose whether or not to be seen by those other than Nokira.

    A noble kind of brat whom you'll only earn submission from through a firm voice and hand. She deserves respect, but also the care she's denied herself in her duty to be a good leader. Take the burden from her, by force if necessary; she deserves to rest.

  • Some Things to Note.

    This can be either post-Aizen or disregarding him entirely, but the 5th squad is squarely hers. I usually have it written that her own captain has recently passed, so she's playing interim for the time being, and she may end up being promoted to captain of the 5th for her clearly outstanding leadership skills.
