    PEBBLES

    A curious porcine familiar delivered to Maxie by the troll Gibbit after being discovered during his travels through the elemental plane of earth. This beast was born of the remains of what was once Maxie's own magical potential; while he will still never again be able to wield magic of his own, this restored connection has grounded his nature as a supernatural and given him access to greater potential in that regard - as well as granting him a loyal companion for life.

    While blind it can 'see' through the eyes of its owner and harnesses solar energy to temporarily deprive others of their own senses. It typically remains in 'pet' form around the size of a dog, but easily transitions between a more convenient 'pocket' sized form as well as a monstrous boar form large enough to be ridden. These forms tend to be informed by whatever state Max is in as they share thought, emotion, and pain. This familiar is essentially an extension of the man.

    When in 'pet' form it makes an effort to conceal itself by retracting stones into its body and concealing alchemical sun within empty eye sockets. It makes for a convincing enough mundane pig this way.

    DUKE

    A red barghest or "goblin dog" rescued by Clan Ouroboros from an uncouth coven. It was offered in acknowledgement of the information about them Maxie supplied to the clan.

    It can appear as an entirely normal canine, but real dogs cannot stand its presence.
