This is where you can find the monthly schedule of events such as moon phases, holidays, significant weather, and other celestial occurrences like shooting stars and moon showers.

While these dates are here for your convenience, keep in mind that the timing of some events won't be known by characters until they occur: please use this information wisely! The staff may not always be able to host every major occurrence as an actual event either. This calendar is to be viewed first and foremost as a lore reference.

DECEMBER - two blink nights, six full moon nights (two of those 'super moons'), one moon shower (tears of Aetheros fall), and one total solar eclipse

Total Solar Eclipse: A celestial phenomena that empowers those who favor the darkness, especially vampire kind - it is said that some are gifted special powers in the moment of totality when Aetheros shields children of the night from the sun entirely.

First Snowfall: The Winter Lord Sealgair (Shall-ah-garr) has arrived and brought with him the first unnatural snow of the season. It will continue to grow colder and the snows deepen until he calls for the hunt to begin. This now annual contest is a ceremonial gesture between the kingdom of Thornmouth and the fae, intended to foster new traditions.

Winter Moonshower: The lunar augurists feel their readings predict tears of Aetheros falling this month. Where on the planet might they land? There is always the rare chance that they will strike land instead of sea, an event that calls for investigative action if not damage control...

The Winter Hunt: When he feels the time is right, during the coldest night of the year Sealgair will take on the form of a magnificent white stag and call for the hunt to begin. It is a contest of the finest archers in the capital city to find and ‘kill’ Sealgair first. The victor will receive a magnificent prize and be heralded as an ambassador helping to close the divide between the mundane and the magical. The winner of last year's contest was a newcomer named Neeva.

The Cold Moon Banquet: A newer tradition intended to appease the fae lord as well as symbolically lend the protective moon power through celebration. It is an enormous feast that takes up the city center and runs from dawn until midnight, even then sometimes carrying on into the next day. This festival includes a gift exchange with a twist that encourages citizens to get to know one another better.

MARCH - one blink night, eight full moon nights (two of those 'super moons')

The Festival of Ties (March 20th-26th)
A week-long festival celebrating love, understanding, cooperation, and the arrival of spring. It arose from the union between King Galen and Queen Eilwen, a marriage of unity intended to foster peace and friendship among neighbors. It has evolved over the years into a day of ties between lovers, friends, even business partners - any individuals who have formed a strong bond they cherish. The locals practice a tradition of weaving and/or dying a portion of rope together, the completed lengths of which will be given to the captain of a ship. The local merchant ships and naval vessels tend to display ropes in all shades of the rainbow as a result, these stained fibers signifying strong bonds between individuals bringing strength to the community. It is considered very good luck to spot ones rope still intact down the line.

DECEMBER - one blink night, nine full moon nights (two of those a 'super' moon)

A month considered significant by many supernatural beings for being host to nine full moon nights.

The Winter Hunt: When he feels the time is right, during the coldest night of the year Sealgair will take on the form of a beast and call for the hunt to begin. It is a contest of the finest hunters in the capital city to find and ‘kill’ Sealgair first. The victor will receive a magnificent prize and be heralded as an ambassador helping to close the divide between the mundane and the magical.
