I love World of Warcraft and it's not too hard to notice that a lot of my characters were originally intended to be in there. I don't know too much about DnD aspects of roleplay (ie. rolling, stats, etc.) but I don't usually have any roleplay that would be required to include that. I love elves and dragons, so those are what a lot of my characters are going to be.
