From the Greek word meaning "glory," a kudos is acclaim for exceptional achievement or qualities.
On the RP repository, receiving a kudos means that another community member recommends you as someone other people might like to get to know. Perhaps because you are exceptionally fun to RP with, exceptionally fun to know, or are just plain exceptional!

Inkwren is an extremely talented writer. She also knows all kinds of cool things--things like how to create an insignia for a fictional organization, creating badges, how to use face claims to magically put a character in uniform--lots of stuff. She can create posts that keep the plot moving while making you laugh and pulling on your heartstrings. Also good OOC communication and coordination. Easy to work with. A good RP partner. I just noticed that this marvelous lady gave me kudos in the wee hours of the morning and I nearly had a squealing fit. Fair is fair, yes?
On a more serious note, it has been utterly lovely to connect with somebody who cackles with glee just as much as I do as our characters squirm and flail. I look forward to each and every post, and I have a feeling I'm not going to get bored any time soon!
