  • History

    Santiago growing up never thought he'd be joining in any war.
    His dream was to be a writer, since he loved to make up stories and play pretend so much that he got in trouble with his father for being out to late.
    Not like he was doing anything bad, just playing and dreaming.

    Sadly Santiago's country went to war, and so at the age of 13 he was taken by law and trained to be a soldier.
    But Santiago was captured during his first mission by their enemy.
    The enemy pitied him though and they actually attempted to un-brainwash the boy, teaching him about their peoples ways which were very tribal.
    And so Santiago found an understand that the war was completely pointless and selfish.
    He loved his homeland where he came from and his family and friends, but making new friends with the enemies people and learning their cultured changed him.

    So torn by this, and watching both sides loose men, woman and children. Santiago who the enemy named "Oktko" meaning - Jungle Panther with the Blue eyes.
    Would flee into the Jungle to never be seen again.
    It is said that he can be found for hire, some myths say he lives with a pack of panthers.
    Others believed he died and became a haunting spirit of the jungle.

    Really Santiago choose to leave both sides he loved so much and find peace on his own.
    He cant truly escape his war past from both sides.
    He has allot of skills as a soldier and hand to hand combat. And occasionally has to fight off invading soldiers or poachers after warning them first of course.
    But the man is lethal in a calm before the storm kind of way.
    He still writes, and hangs up his work in his little Jungle home.

    The man tries to take no sides, because he knows both share the common failure of man and life itself, there is good and bad in everything.
    And he believes in his heart that, the spirit of war will always live so long as man succumbs to it.
    That being said, Santiago hasn't killed a man since he left the two parties, and will always find a way to try and spare a life, even for those that try to invade and attack him.

    Santiago is an average man with an average muscled build from training.
    He has Dull tan skin marked and nicked up by many battles, shrapnel, stabbings and hand to hand combat.
    He also has really long Dark brown hair that is mostly braided or in dreads, adorned with feathers of red and beads.
    He has a beard and mustache. He also has soul capturing blue eyes, which is his most defining feature and what most people know him and like him for.
    He has a tribal ink tattoo between his eyes and on the bridge of his nose that is black.

    Santiago's Dream Catcher Charm
    The Charm was made and given to him by a little girl of the tribe he abandoned in peruse of peace of mind.
    The charm brings good luck, and keeps the nightmares and woes away, as a dreamcatcher should.
    Santiago holds onto this charm tightly, and at night he prays to it.

    Since the fate of the child was lost during the war between his homeland.
