No, I'm not a real pen. That also would be a little weird.
I'm the Dragon's Pen, and I write about sci-fi and fantasy. Fantasy is my favorite genre (After all, my 'pen name' is a derivation of the name Pendragon - get it?) but it's not far ahead of sci-fi. I have expansive, complex universes for both of them that include various races (Alien or monster depending), technology, history, and characters, who I'll probably get around to creating on here eventually. I'm also branching out (Yay experiments) into historical / Age of Sail characters (see Alistair) and modern military, crime, etc (Said).
You may notice a trend in my characters, and the simple truth is that I'm not always great at not projecting myself onto my characters. They all tend to be Scottish, left-handed, artistic, and morally 'good', because they're all little parts of me, and I've had them for so long it feels traitorous to change them too severely. If you see me during RP behaving a little against my self-imposed restrictions on that tendency, please please PLEASE let me know so I can improve as a writer and a story teller. No one really wants to know how Pen the mighty warrior-errant/pirate/space pirate etc would behave in all these stories, and I promise you that I won't ever be mad if you point out something I can improve.
I'm open to all forms of roleplay, with (almost) any type of content, so don't feel shy! I'm nice, I swear! (Unless I'm RPing as a bad guy, and then I'm monstrously evil).

Pen has been nothing but a joy to play with. He writes well and drives stories forward with a natural skill not often found among writers. Despite not being on this site for long, Pen has definitely shown prowess as a roleplayer and a writer.
