Nick woke up, yawning. He pulled the duvet off him and swung his legs to the floor. He rubbed his eyes, sighing. Choosing Day was in a few days and he still wasn't sure which faction to choose as his friends had rumoured that passing initiation for all of them was difficult. "Nicholas!" Called his father downstairs, Nick, still feeling tired and sleepy, sluggishly walked down the stairs.

Carces woke up and looked around his surroundings "great so I was dreaming I was dauntless born" he said getting up out of bed. Carces was the only person in his faction no one would mind him transferring. He was tall yet skinny black hair with red splotches on it. If you looked at the right angle you'd think it was blood

Nick walked down the stairs passing pictures of his family and a picture of the Candor Manifesto.He walked into the kitchen with it's black and white flowers wallpaper. His mother was flipping pancakes, his dad was reading the newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee, whilst his little sister, Amelia was sitting down, swinging her legs waiting for her breakfast.His mother turned around to see her son in a black vest and white shorts, "Good God, Nicholas! Why aren't you dressed for school, you look like you're faction less!" She said as she laid out the pancakes on the table. "You're not make it a habit of going to school smelling like....that, are you? Choosing Day is next week and I don't want you to humiliate us." Said his father, taking a bite out of his pancakes.""It's not really a big deal, Dad, sometimes he usually smells like that.." Said his cheeky sister."Amelia!" Said her mother, "I'm just being honest, isn't that what we are supposed to do?""Oh shut up sis." Replied Nick before taking a seat, his sister sniffed in the air and made an "Ugh" sound, she grabbed her plate and went to the living room. Nick rolled his eyes.His sister was 11 so she had 5 years until her Choosing Day, she would be perfect for Candor, since she is honest...a little too honest.Sometimes Nick wished he has more time like Amelia so he had more time to decide...

Nick went upstairs after finishing his breakfast and toke a shower before changing into his normal white hoodie and back jeans.His mother kissed him and Amelia on the forehead for a good day at school before they headed to the bus stop.
They got off the bus, being pushed out of the way by some reckless 13 year old Dauntless boys.Amelia walked away to talk with her friends.Nick sighed as he didn't really enjoy school.The teachers were from Erudite and he could sometimes never understand them.One time, an Abnegation boy said he didn't understand the work because he was dyslexic, the teacher said that wasn't an excuse and sent him outside the classroom.When Nick was nine, a 14 year old bully from Dauntless beat up a kid from Amity for being a "Pansy Cake" and warned everyone from Candor that if they were to tell, they would also get beaten up.Fortunately, he failed Erudite initiation so he is factionless now.

Carces walked towards the school the bus driving past him on his way. He got hit by a rock and saw a dauntless leaning his head out the window Carces picked the rock up and threw it back hitting the window above him. "Dang I wanted to hit him." He said continueing his walk. He saw the other amenity on the bus shake there heads at him. He didn't care it was a long walk to school from where he was. He made it about three qaurters of the way there before the dauntless guy showed back up infront of him. "Your gonna pay for that." He said grabbing Carces shirt. He pulled him in a d punched him. Carces got a bloody nose from it. He punched back the dauntless laughing at how pathetic his hit was. Carces pushed him back and ran the rest of the way to school.

Nick was about to talk to his friend until he saw a boy being chased by a Dauntless, the boy had a bloody nose and it didn't take a genius to figure out that the Dauntless boy had hit him.Nick didn't want to interfere as he was terrified of the Dauntless, due to their violent nature, their tattoo and piercings but as a Candor, he knew what he had to do, he sighed and yelled "HEY DAUNTLESS BOY, I THINK YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS!", the boy then looked at Nick, who gulped with fear, not only because the boy will beat him up but because he had just lied.
Carces swirled to where the sound came from and thought for a moment 'Why would he do that I can outrun them I know that's Carces saw the dauntless walk up to him "What was that Candor" he said candor like it was a discrace to the factions. 'I cant let this go on dauntless are fear less.' He thought walking behind the dauntless quietly picking up the closest stick he can see. As he came up he told the candor to be quite by putting g a finger to his lips and swung the stick as hard as he could against the dauntlesses head. He turned around to see what hit him. He dropped to his knees mid turn from the pain "RUN" he screamed at the candor and started running to the school again.
Nick did run but not towards the school but back to his house, he ran past Amelia who shouted his name. The Dauntless boy started to catch up to him as Nicholas sprinted like a gazelle being chased by a cheetah.He rushed through his front door, panting and gasping to catch his breath.His father appeared from the living room "Nicholas?! What are you doing here? School started a few minutes ago." Nick tried to regain his breath "Dauntless...chasing.....boy....tried...help...ran...away" he said, going to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
Carces made it to the school he put his hands on his knees to catch his breath no one was around meaning school started "are y-" he started to say turning around to see the candor boy wasn't behind him. He Sighed and started walking back thinking that the duantless caught him. He made it a bit farther then where they ran from before seeing the dauntless boy "your friend may have gotten away but there's no way ill let you." He said carces leaned down pretending he was fixated ng his pants and when the dauntless boy got up to him slammed a rock into the side of his head then turning to run.
Nick went up to his bedroom to collect his thoughts. he felt bad for leaving that boy to fend for himself, he didn't even know what faction he belonged. Nick laid down on his bed and fell asleep, hoping to forget what happened today.
Carces made it to school the countless boy still chasing him his ear bleeding from where the rock hit his head. Carces heard the kids running to the window to watch. 'I can't look like a coward either.' He though so he turned around putting his fist up to block the blows to the face. The faultless boy hit his arm and carces felt the pain instantly but he had to retaliate. He as fast as he could hit the faultless n the ribs the kidney and his chin
The faultless boy wasn't expecting that so he took a step back holding his ribs. Carces chit both his ears with his palms the left hitting where the rock hit. He looked at him amazed he took him down. He turned to the window to see all but the dauntless shaking there heads. The dauntless were shouting and making a 'racket' as his mom used. They were all shouting about him winning. He walked in getting high fives and his back patted from the dauntless. He made it to his seat it took the teacher a minute but she just continued from where she was. He was lost for a bit but was able to understand after awhile.
The faultless boy wasn't expecting that so he took a step back holding his ribs. Carces chit both his ears with his palms the left hitting where the rock hit. He looked at him amazed he took him down. He turned to the window to see all but the dauntless shaking there heads. The dauntless were shouting and making a 'racket' as his mom used. They were all shouting about him winning. He walked in getting high fives and his back patted from the dauntless. He made it to his seat it took the teacher a minute but she just continued from where she was. He was lost for a bit but was able to understand after awhile.
6 hours later
Amelia came home from school, she went to Nick's bedroom, dropped the bag on the floor and laid down on the bed with him, "Soooooooo.....how was school" she said, "Sis, I am not in the mood right now, get out.""Everyone was talking about you and that Amity boy having a fight with that other guy." Nick kneeled up, "THAT GUY WAS FROM AMITY!?!?!?!?!" "Yeah, unbelievable isn't it.How could a boy so evil-looking, and let's be honest, handsome and cute be from a faction that values kindness,friendliness and peace.I thought they had a Peace Serum there, why haven't they injected him with it already?!"
Nick got off the bed and lifted his little sister up, "Hey what are you doing?! Put me down!" She said as he put her down outside of his room and shut the door in her face.

Carces got back to the amity and a group of people ran up to him. Everyone was asking him why he would do that how did he manage to do it while others shook there heads and walked away. Carces looked at the group and closed his eyes listening to them "Constantly negative towards me" He whispered to himself and walked through the crowd. He walked through them and made it to the end before someone grabbed hiim. "How many times do we have to inject you" He asked and grabbed the back of his collar dragging him away from the group. He made it a short ways like that before Carces quit struggling and was let go hhe still followed the man to where he would be injected with the peace syrum again his third visit there each syrum lasted a day at max.
