For the longest time, there had been a ceramic gnome hanging out in the spot where you tend to your herbs and plants. You have no clue how it got there as you don't remember buying a gnome but your garden has thrived since it showed up. One day, the gnome is gone and your plants have been getting messed with. You wish for the pests to go away so off you go to find the gnome.
Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance is desired but not required, and will balance evenly with other plot.
