In 2007, the Maynard Poe and Family Conglomerate had positioned itself in such a way that the economy relied on its presence. From banking, to oil, to industry, the tendrils of the company - dark to some, light to others - had snaked their way into every inch of profit. Their control was not absolute, but it was strangling. They had to make every cent they could. They had to.
That way, when the 2009 Blackout Event hit, they would be ready. Alan would tell you they were right. The resources necessary to recover after the world was EMP'd by cosmic radiation were astronomical.
But the conflict that awaited them less than 30 years later was not something they had completely prepared for.
This rp takes place in 2039, well into a conflict between mega-corporate entities Kalamity and Heinz-Richard TransAtlantic. A third party, the pro-democratic Human Relief Coalition, is at their peak in strength, and leads guerrilla campaigns against Kalamity in hopes to tear down the new kingdom in favor of the Old Capitals.
I offer 3 unique plot starters, all of which participate in the conflict to varying degrees and effects.
