She walked the silent streets of the small town. No evil people to be seen. Everyone seemed nice there. An old man simply walked through her yesterday too. It seemed to give the old ban the shivers. Jenara was a lonely woman. Only the voice of her Lord talked to her once or twice in her head. She sighed, and crumbled into the ground, down into the Underworld. Jenara walked into the Lord of the Underworld's house, as she was greeted to stay. The Lord stood from his chair and looked at the Lady of Death. She bowed to her Highness and said, "My lord, I have not found any more thieves lurking about." The Lord waved a hand and Jenara stood, her long black hair caressing her shoulders softly.
"That is all I request of you, my Lady of Death," Lord Hades said. "You may escort yourself to your chamber." Jenara did as she was told and left the lord by himself and went to her chamber. She sat on her bed, with ease. She sighed. Her Hellhound pet walked over and laid it's head on her lap. She smiled.
"Oh, Karino." She said, her strong voice seemed sad. She caressed Karino's head. "Sometimes I wish I could stay in the Mortal world forever. But Lord Hades seems to only want me up there to run him errands and take people to the Underworld." She sighed once more. "I feel alive up there. Don't you know? I've seen people dancing and laughing. You should come up to the Mortal world with me sometime Karino." KArino only lifted his head and cocked it like he was confused. Jenara knew Karino understood her. She swung her legs on the bed and lay down, staring at the dim, red ceiling. Karino laid down at the end of the bed, going to sleep. It took Janara a while to finally feel sleepy. She closed her eyes and the dark sleep greeted her warmly....
