"The only thing I can really tell you is that you're not insane.."

"There is no other explanation!" she cried out.

"Yes there is! I'm just not allowed to say, none of us are! You wouldn't believe anyway!"

"You don't know that!" Obvious distress followed by... "... Why wouldn't you be allowed to tell?"

"We just aren't.. We don't know what would happen if we did, even our parents aren't sure.. Probably something bad. But enough of that, I'm saying too much!"

"Something bad? Like... How bad...?" More concern, more concern! "You're not all secretly spider-people, are you...?"

Kate can't help but laugh. She laughs for a solid 30 seconds, really. "There's no such thing as spider-people!" She sighs a bit. "Actually, it's something less severe than that, but just.. It's a huge secret that I don't know if I should tell.."

"I just... Don't understand..." Chiyoko shook her head, staring down at the floor.

"I just need to think about whether to tell... It's just.." Kate struggles to find words. "We all, except Mom and Gracie.. Erm.. Ack, I just can't! I can't say it!"

She sighed, curiosity getting the better of her.

"You all... What?"

"Just nevermind, I can't say it!!"

Chiyoko finally seemed to be okay with dropping the subject.

"We should... go eat, then."

"Yeah.. GUUUUUUYS TIME FOR DINNER!!" Kate yells. Kayla, Max and Drew come downstairs, though the boys aren't looking 100%.

Chiyoko crossed her arms.

"What's the matter with you two?" she asked the boys calmly and sweetly.

"Nothing much," Drew says simply.

"Doesn't look like nothing much."

"We're okay, just warm, that's all," Max says.

"Are you two sick?" she asked, holding her wrists up to their heads.

"I dunno." Drew shrugs.

"I think you would know!" she snapped suddenly.
