I'm wondering if anyone has read the book? I'm looking for a non-modern distraction for myself. Something that will give me something to do that isn't make up new characters or play around on furc.
If you don't know what the book is about, that's cool too.
Basically It's a fantasy style dystopian future. The world is one where the sky is no longer seen and it's cold all the time. There are two peoples.
The Quelled are little more than slaves. They work in the fire-stone mines, bringing out what is basically coal. It's what their people use for warmth. Without it, they die.
The Chosen are the ones chosen by God. Most of them live in luxury, without a thought as to how their nice world comes to be.
There are other key points to the story, but I was thinking of just cutting it down to the simple. I wanted to do a Quelled/Chosen romance. I don't care which side I play, or even what gender the second person is, but I like forbidden romance and I wouldn't mind setting it in my favourite book's world.
