I know that this is going on out a rather thin limb, but I was recently watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and I couldn't help but think how nice it would be to live in that sort of world where all that matter was Christmas spirit and things like that.
Which is what brings me to this RP post, where I pitch the idea of a Whoville RP. You could edit your character into being a Who, or a 'What' if youd rather play a Grinch or your own character (Demon, Furre, shapeshifter, etc). This could be a one on one, or a group RP if more people are interested, But my main idea isto come into the plot of TGWSC and basically rewrite the ending with our own characters.
This could be one off or could go in far and beyond the Christmas Celebration, such as doing the Jingle Day Pageant, celebrating the Whocentennial, and even celebrating Grinch Night. Leave a comment if you're interested in any way.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Modern
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
