She knocked on the gates - initially not making much more than a tap. As she grew in confidence her knocking became louder until at last she shouted.

he heard her and walked over to the gates. "oh, hi. you seem new here." he opened the gates. "welcome to Tarra!"
"nice to meet you, i'm Lee. need a bit of a tour?"
"Oh yes please! I got a letter and followed the instructions - I put a ring in and here I am - If I'm honest I didn't really expect it to work!"

"so, i can't exactly show you the WHOLE school, i mean it's one building the size of a small town, i don't think we have quite enough time for that, but i can show you the garden, the dorms, the lake, the cafeteria, and the class rooms. that works?"

She looked around her amazed - the school was enormous - how would she ever find her way around. Lee seemed really cool and she was hopeful that she might actually be making a friend. "So, um, have you been here long? You seem to know your way around and stuff."
"well, i got here about five months ago, and most people you meet here will be about that long or less. most of the older students left or became teachers."
