"Close" She drew a diagram on the board and it showed a combination of a person and the ground "Magic does indeed come from the soul and it also for some people it comes from the ground"

      "And the enviroment around them"

      "Right. That too. I forgot."

"..." He watched Starla from a distance.

Starla hummed getting some food and found a seat near him.

      He raised an eyebrow.

Starla looked at him.”Hello.” She said smiling.

"A friendly one, huh..... Weren't you the one without magic?"

“Not the only one but yeah.” She said.

"Whats with this recent string of spelless students? Anyway, you'll probably want to get some... you know, unless you want to get kicked out."

Starla shrugged.”Well yeah. I mean normal people without powers think I’m an odd ball then yeah I’d like to have some magic.” She said.

"Well, i have my ways of getting.... things..... For magic. Would you like some assistance?"

“You mean you would help me?” She asked.

"If you could prove you are WORTH magic."

“How do I do that?” She asked.

"How good are you at battling?"

“Wouldn’t know. I never battled before.” She said.

He sighed. "What were you going to use your magic for, setting up tea parties?"

“No protection.” She said.”I want to be able to protect myself.” She said.

"what did you think would happen? you would get magic then master it overnight? magic works well for defense, but best when complimenting standard fighting."
