Satan has been overthrown. The demons have rebelled. And now, the armies of Hell prepare to invade and conquer the very Heaven that forsook them. As the angels hurry to close off the gateways that connect Heaven and Hell, one conduit of passage remains readily available. Earth - caught between the two otherworldly realms. If demons and angels are to clash, it would be here - and the threat of collateral damage would be catastrophic.

As the demons muster their forces, the rejects, weaklings and failed experiments amongst them are cast aside; banished to Earth by Hell's new, cruel master. Where Satan would give even the lowliest of demon a home, The new lord of Hell has no need for creatures who serve little use in Hell's armies. It is these rejects who are first to set foot on Earth; some choosing to wreak havoc, others going into hiding. One such demon, with the body and mind of a child, finds themselves lost in a land they don't understand. Little do they know that they have a part to play in the coming conflict - as a guide, guardian and sidekick of a hero destined to change the tide of the brewing war. This unusually timid and morally just demon is Riik.

This idea popped into my head. Figured it'd start as a sorta supernatural monster-hunting deal at first until the proper forces of Heaven and Hell begin to arrive. The setting would be the real world, modern day, with the first demon sightings beginning at wherever the partner's character spends their typical weekday (school, work, home, etc).

Rules for this RP:

- No sexual content

- Average post length of 2 paragraphs, 1 paragraph the typical minimum (with less being allowable if and when there's not much that can be posted, so long as it's only done rarely).

Preferences:

- Player age 16+. It's not a set-in-stone rule, but as I'm over 18, I feel more comfortable RPing with older partners.

- Character with some ability or skill that could help hunting stray demons and eventually getting involved in stopping or joining the war, even if that ability is giving my character tactical commands or performing detective work or studying ancient tomes or whatever. Any special non-human powers they might have could be obtained through celestial artefacts or encounters with celestial beings; but cannot have been obtained before the start of the RP. We can discuss ways in which they might get such powers before starting if that's part of their skillset.

- Keep romance out of the main focus. Given my character's age (or the age in which they appear, at least), they can't be involved in the romance; but if your character has a lover or gets into a relationship with a background character, that's fine, so long as it doesn't enter sexual content territory.

Format:

- One-on-one RP.

- I might accept multiple partner requests, but not as a group RP, as they don't tend to last as long and probably won't reach any interesting plot points.

Ahoy there. I find this rather intriguing, and have a few characters that I think might fit the bill (including an Angel, a Demon, a half-angel, and a few normal humans as well)

Human characters are definitely preferred, though that's not to say I can't work angels and demons into the plot. Drop me a PM to let me know if there's any character in particular you're thinking of using and we should be able to work something out from there.

My character would fit into this pretty well if you'd have me. I'm not new to RPing and the character isn't new, but Angel/Demon stuff is right up her alley.

Hmm... depends really. The ideal character for this is a human who doesn't develop any special abilities until coming across otherworldly items at some point after the RP start. That's not to say a non-human is out of the question - particularly someone with demonic or angelic heritage -; but there'd have to be a discussion as to how that'd be done. It also depends how willing you are to be flexible with your character's background for the RP; particularly in the case of organisations and past events, given in this setting, demons have never invaded Earth large-scale yet (aside from the recently-exiled rejects who by the RP start point haven't yet interacted with the human population in any way).

Oh. Well, admittedly, this character would start out with powers and a life, but they wouldn't have faced a demonic invasion before. So, that part would/could still be a first. Though, it might be better for me to make a new character (I just really like using this one, lol). If that's not ok, I'd understand. And I'm willing to work out details for how the story would begin, as well. Just let me know. I'm only interested cuz demon/angel lore is a pretty big part of this character's story is all.

A lack of initial powers amongst humans is a big sticking point for this scenario. I feel changing that would take away part of the key driving aspects of it. Essentially, the world is an almost exact parallel to the real world (with some room for manoeuvring with exact geography, political figures, celebrities etc), and all of the normal laws of physics initially apply. The difference is that in this scenario, demons and angels 100% exist, and only once they start appearing on Earth do their powers start to affect things.

It's up to you whether you feel you can be flexible enough with that character to fit the setting or if you'd rather make a new one.
