Reminders, Repairs and Updates

Are You Ready for the Spring Masquerade?

Remember: On Saturday and Sunday, March 20th and 21st, there will be LIVE RP CHATs for our second official masquerade event! Please see the announcement for instructions on how to prepare a character so you can attend.

Already have your character ready to go? I'm proud of you, but shhhhh, no telling -- we don't want everyone to guess who might be in attendance until it's time for everyone to take off their masks! ;)

Server's Allergy

Most of you are already well aware of the unexpected severe allergy to "special characters" that Server developed back on February 15th. This meant that many foreign language letters, unicode characters, and emojis posted before that date turned themselves into ugly jumbles of nonsense letters.

Although I managed to repair the most common foreign language characters within about 24 hours, some of the lesser used ones, along with many emojis and purely decorative unicode symbols are undergoing a much longer repair process.

I'm happy to say that as of today, over 1300 unique emojis have been recovered!

I'm still on the lookout for some unicode characters that can be repaired. If you still have jumbled letters on your profile and you know for sure what that jumble used to be, please please send me both the exact jumble and what it used to be so I can create and deploy a fix for everyone.

Neo-Pronouns Starting to Arrive

A handful of neo-pronouns have been added to the pronoun selection (xe/xem, fae/faer, per/per). We don't see a lot of people publicizing their usage of neopronouns, but that may be because of fear of negative social consequences making it very hard to try them out and see how they feel. Head over to your General Settings to specify your most preferred pronouns.

If you are a user of neo-pronouns and I haven't managed to get to yours yet, please let me know and I'll try to bump it up the development list.

Oh and also, happy St. Patrick's day ;D

While I personally don’t employ neo-pronouns on my writer profile, they could be useful for characters that may be made in the future.
