From the Greek word meaning "glory," a kudos is acclaim for exceptional achievement or qualities.
On the RP repository, receiving a kudos means that another community member recommends you as someone other people might like to get to know. Perhaps because you are exceptionally fun to RP with, exceptionally fun to know, or are just plain exceptional!

Tam is a ray of sunshine whenever I talk to her, and she never fails to elicit a laugh, even on my most tired and grumpy days.

Although I have not yet had the pleasure of an actual RP with Tamamo no Mae, what I have been able to learn from watching the development of her history and world in incredibly intriguing and impressive, and I hope one day to match wits with her in an IC fashion. - JayBird
