Cheshire (played by Sp8ders)

It's 2020 and virtual games have reached their height with full body virtual immersion! The newest and hottest hit game called Bullet Fuse was recently released, enticing people with a FBVR to join in.

Bullet Fuse, is a semi post apocalyptic roleplaying game filled with guns, science, and plenty of monsters to slaughter. Play in the decrypted wastelands of famous cities, or out in the frontier of vast deserts, forests, and so on. Travel anywhere you want to go, and be anyone you want to be. Use anything from a gun, to a sword, to a pair of gravity fist! As long as you can imagine it, you can use it! (Of course science included)

(There is magic but you'll have to make a special class to use it.)

The player character Cheshire or A.K.A by other player characters Alice, is an infamous bounty huntress/hitman whom works with large scale guilds or whoever is the highest bidder to hunt down and assasinate other players, or help assist in parties to hunt down mobs or bosses for loot. Her speciality relies in her sniper skills and her speed, but truly she has a load of guns equipped for her use for all meanings, joys of being an extremely elite Gunner character.

Will it be your hero who changes her mind? To end her path of slaughter and maybe befriend the online assassin?

Warning if you die in game you will suffer from a account lock out for three days

Accepting both forum group RP and private messaging.
Magic 40%
Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Technology 70%
Further future, perhaps visit mars or upload your brain
Combat 50%
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.

THIS SOUNDS SO COOL.
I mean...
Ahem, I'm interested in such a rp. There's a few things I want to know though. How many partners are you looking for (I prefer groups), and should I write a character for the real-life aspect of the rp even if it's never shown or should I focus entirely on the avatar ingame?

Okay well, as for how many players for a group I was thinking maybe five or six? So it's manageable but still had a steady flow.

As for the Real Life aspect, that's up to you if you want to focus on the Real Life and Avatar that's fine! Might add a bit of backstory to the creation of the character and what not. But it's not nessicarily required.
All right. I'll be focusing on the avatar then with slight mentions to the real life player to keep things simple. Oh hay there's also the meta option of playing ourselves in 2020 playing an VRMMO, in case anyone is a fan of inception and wants to do that. I'll be writing while waiting for more takers.
Is there a limit to science?
Cheshire (played by Sp8ders) Topic Starter

Yes, while it is a game you still need to be semi realistic with the science, and really your ability in science depends on your science level. Low science people can only do the basic, the higher the better things you can do.

Also, please hold onto your post, I'm going to make a forum when I have gathered enough players.
Kurokami Yurei (played anonymously)

Heya, I saw this and ended up making a character for it (used a similar system to Arisu for the name), but I'm still kind of confused. Can you please explain more about the science aspect of the RP?
Ami (played anonymously)

I'm interested as well! I just need to work on my character profile ^^;

Right well, the Science Aspect can be taken into multiple turns, like any rpg when you have a magic type build you normally have different options of magic, right? Science is the same way!

You have your medical, aka the healer type science
Your inventor, which can double as a tanker and a dps depending on how you play them
And so on and so forth!

Like I said, truly the only thing that stops you with science is one it has to have some realism (that means no nuclear punches) and your imagination.

Aye DM. I thiiiink I made a character I will be proud of and won't throw away tomorrow, but I'd love some feedback. Tagline especially needs work.

I'll be waiting on future updates.
I have two characters. One's an engineer, technician, etc. One is a tank. They use similar equipment as they were made by the engineer but the tank is mainly the brute main frontline player. They're quite famous as a pair.

Okay!

Coke, your character is honestly pretty superb and I'm not going to lie, I am a bit jealous on how good it is.

As for you robin, since you are entering with two characters I will accept this ONLY BECAUSE they work in tangent with one another, creating technically one badass character.
I presume nanotechnology and advance computers are usable correct?(maybe quantum?)
Cheshire (played by Sp8ders) Topic Starter

Yes, yes, and yes.
G30 (played by coke_monster)

Mmm'kay, that's how you make a man blush. Confidence and narcisism +1.

I like that intelligence is the rating for how powerful a given player is, or Science level. I am abit afraid of quantum computers being available. The only time I've seen one in media is an anime called Jormungand, where it could literally calculate the future, hack any modern device, and simulate anything with its near infinite processing power. (Very interesting stuff by the way there are many youtube videos explaining why such a comp would be legendary for humanity to create.)
Quantum computer is present computer on steroids. Password that takes 1 trillion years to crack? Done it in 1 second. It's speed is fast because it's quantum...Thus an AI can be born from it or advance programming.
Apparently Quantum computers are in works...
G30 (played by coke_monster)

Yeyeye. God tier tech, which should definitely be used sparingly in all scifi fiction otherwise there ain't much to go toe to toe with it except other quantum comps. Maybe a timetravelling quantum comp?

If a character were to use quantum tech, maybe it's an incomplete one that overheats and basically almost explodes upon use by just how much energy it requires and expends. Searching for a facility to house this godlike machination would make for a great motive.
I doubt quantum computers require that much energy. If not, it would be at a lower cost. At this point of lore, I think quantums are a bit common. So basically quantum = present computer use, security, etc.
G30 (played by coke_monster)

If everyone uses quantum computing, I guess that is one way to explain how one person hasn't just suppressed all in computing power. After a quick computer search and skimming, it sounds like the consensus is that the actual energy consumption is a mystery, but predicted to be very little with refrigeration being the actual major consumer. Neat.
