I know this isn't the right place to go looking, but I just wanted to ask something.

Has anyone else noticed that most RPs on the looking for RP fit into about the same categories?

I don't know about you guys, but while I might gravitate around fantasy base, I especially love those wonderful little one-off RPs that don't fit in with the rest.

And that's precisely why I designed my Fnaf prompt, because I wanted it to be different.

And while I'm sure unique RPs are common, it seems that the same blur of romance or casual is even more common. I'd always love to see more one-off RPs!

i've noticed it, but it's not surprising that it's common. at least in my experience, the reason romance and casual RP is prevalent is largely because worldbuilding takes a lot of time investment, and some characters can be quite tricky to fit into prebuilt worlds. casual scenes are a really easy way to jump into playing a character and making IC friends, especially if you've never played them before and want to testdrive or if you're having a hard time finding somewhere for them to live. while romance RP isn't applicable to every character, it's a guarantee of playing out some pretty serious character development, and is a self-contained plot with a simple but compelling direction.

it also depends where you're looking for RP. on the main forums most will be 1:1 open RP, but those who have detailed settings in mind or plots that will require a lot of feedback from the players will take it to groups or PM.
