Ynys Môn... the Isle of Anglesey... a mostly rural landmass off the coast of North Wales. In recent times, it sees more use as a conduit of ferry travel between Britain and Ireland than anything else... this is the last place one would expect to find a shady criminal power...
In a world where strange mutations are appearing among the populace... one in every million people born with some strange power or physical oddity... one quasi-legal corporation sets out to exploit this new commodity. Nobody knows where this strange organisation comes from or what its plans are, but the recent purchase of the decommissioned Wylfa nuclear power station displays a clear intent to set up a base of operations in the UK.
But this comes as a blessing in disguise - the newly set-up facility creates the perfect opportunity to learn more about this global threat. But could the coming conflict threaten the peace in this picturesque holiday retreat?
Looking for characters who are either ordinary humans or have minor genetic enhancements that fall into one of the following categories:
- General enhancement (e.g. better reflexes, accuracy, intelligence, strength, etc) [nothing extreme]
- Cosmetic mutation (e.g. animal features, extra limbs, etc) [nothing that stops the character looking mostly human]
- Limited Power (e.g. control over a single element, flight, teleportation, etc) [no more than 2]
Format: 1x1 (PM RP)
Helpful background stuff: Anglesey is frequently used as a holiday destination on account of its rural landscape. Your character doesn't have to live in Britain in order to participate. It is also acceptable if you want your character to have foreknowledge about the main antagonist organisation and is there simply because they are there too.
Level of realism: I'll try to keep my use of the setting as true to life as possible (with certain alterations to fit the plot); that does not mean you have to. Whilst I would rather the general geography of the area be used to some degree of realism, you don't have to stick to exact street layouts etc; this is an alternative world after all. If you want to stick a shop somewhere there isn't one, that's fine. Just no silly things like putting skyscrapers into quaint beach towns and such. Basically, you don't need knowledge of the area, just don't deviate too much from expected geography.
My character: Kiro is a mutant born with oddly simian features and consequential agility enhancements. His natural skill at hacking is impressive, but not of a consequence of his genes. Whilst this 12 year old boy knows nothing of the secret organisation or its public façade, he would make a helpful ally for someone seeking to put a stop to their dark plans. (Kiro will not have access to his fantasy ice magic in this RP. He will be using his simian anatomy variation). Some of my other characters may cameo.
Partners: Partners for this RP must be capable of at least a paragraph per post. Partners aged 16+ are preferred.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
