This idea is based on a really cool dream I had on the night of April 29th, 2017.
Cynwrig - the 11-year-old son of the local gunsmith - polished the barrel of the second of his twin custom-made hand cannons. These alchemical-based pistols were his pride and joy, and he had finally completed them. There was no way he was going to put these up for sale. Holstering them in the belt that held up his simple shorts, he headed through the door that led from the back room of the shop to the store itself. Standing behind the counter, he waited out the last remaining hours of the evening shift.
The streets outside were now dark as dusk fell on the town. Beautiful blue lamplight slowly flickered to life as workers went about preparing Nibet for the night. Under the soft glow, all else was quiet. Trade was coming to an end, and most people had settled into their houses, their presence there obvious by the orange glow emanating from each building. Under the yellow-ish hue of the gas lamps that lit the gunsmith's, Cynw's eyes lay fixed on a large clock positioned on one of the shelves between a pair of old-fashioned muskets, urging the hands to strike 10pm. So transfixed he was, that he did not notice someone walk through the front door...
Format: 1x1
Looking for: Any partner with a good or neutral alignment character. They don't have to be a fighter, but expect combat. Younger characters closer to Cynw's age are closer to the character from the dream whose place they would be taking, but I won't put an age limit out, except maybe a minimum age of about 7 or so as any younger wouldn't really suit the kinda heroic adventure I have planned. 1-paragraph-minimum posts, no 1-liners.
Forbidden: For character age related reasons and personal preference, no sexual content. No romance between player characters beyond child-like crushes (which I will only allow to occur if your character is of a close enough age to mine, but don't expect my character to reciprocate).
My character: I'll be using the human variation of Kyricx - Cynwrig Llewellyn. Disregard anything related to wood elves on his profile.
LONG TERM PREFERRED. Players aged 16+ Preferred.
For those not familiar with the welsh language, Cynwrig is pronounced k-noo-rig, with a trilled R.
(Though this is an old post, I still remember the gist of the dream, so this idea is still viable. If anyone's wondering, all the geographical names in the RP setting listed on this thread are from the dream itself. Any new places introduced would either have completely newly made up names or names as close as I can remember to their original.)

But it is here in the historic town of Nibet, with its narrow streets and simple citizenry, that strange malevolent creatures have begun to emerge. Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Industrial revolution
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
