Deep within the mountains of Selroth, the great Dwarven kingdom of Vel Garuhm sits upon a mine of gold. The Dwarves have become prosperous and wealthy, gaining fortune from the gold beneath their feet. The Dwarves have become sickened with the riches of the mountain, but where sickness lies, bad things will follow. The Goblins beneath the tombs have become more active, taking lone Dwarves in the dim torchlight, the only remnant left behind being a helmet of Dwarvish make. The Elves and Men who once visited are veering away, save for the few who are brave enough to face the Goblin menace. Even though Goblins are a shown problem, something else lies under the Goblin's caverns, below the fields of magma and water; a dark figure with a purpose to absorb the minds of unwary travelers, turning them into mindless slaves to do his will, and the will of his master. A group of Dwarves, Elves, and Men must travel deep beneath the mountain to end these threats, and the threats to come should the figure's plan succeed. Will they aid the Dwarves of Vel Garuhm before the time of evil comes, or will the great darkness obsess them, turning them to serve evil and madness?

Take the role of an Elf, Dwarf, or Human and join the adventure. Elves and Men, however, should be limited to at last two per race, as the Dwarves have become wary of those who do not dwell in the mountain.

Baldan looked over another gold nugget mined from the depths. Something about it didn't feel right, but it gave his people the wealth they mined for, so that was a plus. He passed it on to the next person standing next to him, content that the cursed gold was away from him. The mountains could be unforgiving, even below the surface of the world, where dark things often slept and evil constantly stirred. He hoped this wouldn't ruin his day. He was completely wrong.
