Hi! This is a looking for RP thread dedicated to finding stories for my character Chiharu. :​3
Chiharu is a kitsune who typically disguises themself as a human and works at a café in a modern/urban fantasy setting, the specifics of which can be discussed. By default, I'm picturing a world where supernatural creatures (yokai, vampires, werewolves, Fae, whatever we want, really) live among humans but generally keep themselves hidden, using various abilities to blend in; most humans do not know about or believe in them, though some do, and most supernatural creatures prefer to remain secretive due to a fear of being hunted or persecuted. However, I'm open to changing this; we could do a setting in which humans are all very aware of supernatural creatures, where either everything is largely peaceful between the groups and they coexist just fine, or there could instead be more conflict between the groups. I'm also open to exploring more futuristic settings, and maybe, possibly, historical ones.
Sooo regarding the setting, I'm pretty much down for whatever option suits my partner's preferences. If you're really into world-building, we could work out lots of details before we start an RP, but if that's not your thing, we can just go over the basics quickly to make sure we're on the same page about everything. ^.^
I've got a handful of vague plot ideas that we can work with, but first, there are some important things I need to establish:

• Yes, Chi is a few centuries old, but their appearance and mannerisms suggest that they are fairly young (most likely a teenager, maybe a young adult at absolute most.) Characters should treat them accordingly.
• All RPs involving Chiharu will be platonic; they're not interested in a romantic relationship and I'm not interested in writing one. If you really want to do an unrequited love plot where your character falls in love with them and they don't reciprocate... I mean... I guess we could do that. But I'm primarily looking for platonic fluff involving a close friendship or a found family type vibe. (However, less fluffy dynamics are also fine, if we want to add in conflict or drama. Chiharu is very nonconfrontational though so if there is conflict, they probably won't be the one to start it. At least, not on purpose.)
• I think my previous points implied this but I'll say it just in case: I'm not okay with including anything even remotely sexual in the RP, under any circumstances. Even if it doesn't involve Chi directly, I'm still not comfortable with reading/writing content of a sexual nature.
• Chiharu has a brother who might appear in the RP. In non-roommate plots, they'll most likely live with him, or otherwise he'll live somewhere nearby. He's... also not romanceable, by the way. He can either be a minor character, or a more central one along with Chi.
• The RP could range from pure silly lighthearted fluff and shenanigans to something a bit more serious. There is room for angst and hurt/comfort, but we don't need to include this. I'm (sometimes) okay with delving into darker/potentially triggering topics, as long as that sort of thing is discussed beforehand to ensure that everyone is comfortable. ...Orrr we can just not worry about that and keep the story full of happy silly fun times. Whatever we decide feels right. ^.^
• You can find more information about my writing style/preferences on my profile, but in summary, I'm a para to multi-para writer, third-person, past tense, and I RP in private messages onsite.
• I'm mostly looking for long-term RPs, but am not against something more short-term. Whatever works ^.^

And that's the important stuff out of the way. Now, for some potential plot ideas. These are a bit barebones but can always be expanded upon and/or combined as we see fit, and if you have an idea that's not listed here, I'm eager to hear it. You're welcome to play a human or non-human character, whichever you want, and you can also play multiple characters if you'd like. Some possible roles for your character to fill include, but are not limited to...

• Chiharu's coworker. Maybe your character just started working at the café? Or, conversely, Chiharu could be the new hire (at said café, or any other job really) and your character could have worked there for a while. In either case, the newbie could learn the ropes from their new coworker and friendship could develop from there.
• A customer at the café. They could just as easily be a regular or a new customer and, for one reason or another, they decide they want to get to know Chiharu, or vice versa.
• Chiharu's new roommate. They share an apartment and maybe they hit it off right away, or maybe they don't, but either way rent is expensive so they'll probably want to make it work. Any potential new roommate must be willing to tolerate (or ideally, be a fan of) cats, as Chi has two.
• A fellow supernatural creature. What if there was some kind of like... non-human support group, either online or in person, and our characters become friends after meeting in that group. Or, they could meet any other way, too.
• An overly curious human. They really want to learn about the supernatural and, after somehow finding out Chiharu is a kitsune, your character starts trying to befriend and/or learn about them.
• A supernatural hunter. The above, but your character's intentions might be more... Murder-y. You could also play a character who is trying to help/save Chiharu from a hunter.
• Another kitsune specifically from the group Chiharu grew up with. This could be a friend of theirs or someone with a familial type relationship. They haven't seen each other in years due to life taking them in different directions, but now, either via virtual planning or sheer coincidence, they're meeting up again. Conversely, maybe this kitsune never liked Chiharu, and isn't pleased to be seeing them again.
• A summoner. Maybe a mage, witch, or something similar who tried to summon a familiar, or anyone else who summoned a spirit... And for some reason ended up with a confused Chiharu. This one has lots of room for your character to be from a different world, and for Chi to end up there without knowing why/how. Or it could take place in the world they originated from, but they still wouldn't know why they got summoned to some random person...
• Whatever other ideas you may have! I'm super open to suggestions so if you want to RP, please reach out and tell me your thoughts, ideas, and which character you'd like to use. :​3
