If you're into major fantasy, horrifying imagery and intense scenes, or simply want to meet someone out of the ordinary and question them and their existence, I welcome all to an abandoned town themed roleplay with a little something more hidden beneath the surface...
This roleplay, as prementioned, takes place within a forest your character(s) have stumbled into, whether it be for hunting, exploring, or visiting the abandoned town that lies within the center. Reports were made and spread throughout miles of the place of mysterious occurrences and strange appearances of a supposed "Shadow entity haunting the city", but something more has attracted tourists and citizens alike to try and solve it... only for most to go missing, and any left to go silent to the public. Hopefully, a resolve is made to the odd case...

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romantic themes are possible, but won't pan out. For example: unrequited love.
